That said, I still LOVE to be agressive under my big canopy, and I get a nice little surf when I haul down both my front risers on final... "There's nothing new under the sun"

This is idealistic. Personally, I would never betray the people I "jabber" with in the chat room, but in the real world, anything you post anywhere on this internet is "out there", and if you put it out there, then it may come back to haunt you... User beware! "There's nothing new under the sun"

Now THAT is a good plan! Billy, thanks for offering. Being 6 '6", I wear an x-large... ya won't have any trouble finding me! I just hope my knee feels better. At noon today, I knelt down for something, and felt my knee go pop pop pop. Now I can't even stand on it... off to the Dr's tomorrow... "There's nothing new under the sun"

CSPA says 180 days. "There's nothing new under the sun"

That saying was popular with my friends when we were in high school - 25 years ago... There's nothing new under the sun... "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

Call FFF instead... that should make ya crazy(er)... "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

Yes! I hope I didn't come off sounding negative - I wanted to say: This is a GREAT investment you have made! Skydiving skills go way up, self confidence - ditto... now you can jump like crazy! I think it's fab, and if there was a tunnel nearby, I'd do the same!

Big Thanks to My Friend in Eloy - Chest Strap Woes
Iflyme replied to Rhonda66's topic in The Bonfire
Thank goodness we have others looking out for us. While my life wasn't likely at risk, last year, on jump run, my DZO pointed out to me that my helmet strap was undone. Ever since then, I've tried to double-check the others in the plane... today, my jump partner's pilot chute was almost halfway outta his boc pouch ... I'm glad to hear, Rhonda66 that your story ended the way it did - not the way that lady at Lodi had her story end last year... A little bored on this Saturday night, are we? I've got MANY more posts than jumps... "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

ewww I'd say the difference between see THAT, and seeing ... say -- your boobies, Lisa, is like the difference between beauty and the beast! "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

So you've gone from being "Jessica, yee of little faith", to "Jessica, master of all things related to air". Eleven hundred bucks, huh? That's alot of ... alot of ... of -- alot of stuff you could buy! But it sounds like you made a good investment -- in yourself! I happy for ya, Jess! So let's have some video of all this flyin' you do these days! How much time did you spend in the tunnel? "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

I'd love to order one, but by the time you are done with my poor little whimpy Canadian dollar, that shirt will cost me 45 of my bucks! Ouch!!! Then there's customs and brokerage... The canuck buck sucks! "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

I have no plans to be a handkerchief pilot. I'm jumpin' 210 sq ft of nylon, loaded just over 1:1, and plan to stay that way for a few hundred more jumps (I've got 133 as of this afternoon!). I've got a couple of jump buddies who are sub - 100 sq ft ... hell, they are sub 80 sq ft, and I've got no urge to go there myself. We had clouds giving way to mostly blue, with just 10 knots up top ... flying thru and around the clouds today was VERY cool ... while the plane might be just a taxi ride up, I still enjoy the ride! "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

Definitely a fav of mine! Of course, living next to the ocean, the only good raw oysters are ones ya pull from the saltchuck yourself... "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

Needless to say (but I will anyway) BOOBIES!!! Did ya call the local tv station yet skyhawk? "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

Airann, as a professional tv producer/videotape editor, I thought you did a good job for your first time out. You avoided using gratuitous transitions -- a trap many "newbies" fall into. I found 2 or 3 of the slow dissolves just a bit too long - the stuff with the tube dive... but I would say you are off to a great start! I always try to come up with an unexpected ending in my videos, and I liked yours -- and don't be afraid to throw in a title page -- something like: Produced and Edited by Airann. Looking foward to the next one! Frank "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

Awesome! I admire you both! My wife will NEVER skydive ... but that's ok... she's glad I enjoy it so much. Although she did put on one heck of a 40thbirthday party for me at the DZ (2 bands, food, booze -- yes, she's well adjusted for a whuffo)... Lazerq3, you are totally right -- the marriage, house, kids thing isn't for everybody -- but I sure dig it! "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

Ya, what Jason said! "Men weren't meant to ride With clouds between their knees" Five For Fighting

stewed monkey heads ... it's the way wh have some fun with my kid's friends when they come over for dinner ... one of my kids will say -- in front of their little friend (knowing that the gag is coming) "So what's for dinner, Dad (or Mom, whoever is cookin'), and I reply "stewed monkey heads" ... it gets some great reaction from the visitors -- who are subsequently glad to hear that we are just having chicken, or something a little more digestable ... try it at home next time you have conmpany!!!
