Sorry to hear that, Gale. Missed ya on Friday night -- it was a beautiful evening for jumping. I hope ya recover quicklyso ya can get some air on that new suit!
-
Get out there and SKYDIVE!!! Then report back to us...
-
Hope ya have a blast, Bill!

For rw I wear my Tad's Comp Suit, with shorts and teeshirt underneath. When the weather is cooler, I'll wear sweat pants and a sweat shirt or two under the suit. For freeflying, it's sweatpants and a baggy sweatshirt. Runners on my feet. Always wear gloves.

My drive to work is 12 to 15 minutes on average. When I take public transit (the bus), it's about 20 minutes. The distance is less than 10 kilometres.
-
Of you? Impossible!
-
Excellent! Ya gotta like them bonuses ... and congrats on # 100 ... the rest of you people hold him, while I get the PIE!!!
-
...your dog closes it's eyes as it humps your leg...
-
I'm with ya on this one, Jessica.
-
Still just a pup!
-
It IS socialized in your country of origin ... YOU'RE the one who left!
-
Did ya lose a shoe before getting to the ground, and ruin your nice new sock walking back?
-
Same here! Plus, in about 4 hours, I'm starting 3 weeks of vacation!!!!! And 1 hour after I leave work, I'm bottling 50 litres of beer!!!! Yahoo!

ya, for sure a demo is different. I know a *former* jumper who burned in on his last demo, rather than go into the crowd. Got busted up good, and doesn't jump anymore.

Simoon Sound up there is beautiful ... excellent chance of seeing Orca whales, etc. I've never kayaked, but I flown into the Broughton Archipelago in a sea-plane, and traveled around there a bit in a small boat. Amazing part of the world!
-
Good idea! I never thought of that...
-
I get about 50 - 60 jumps a year ... not much, but we are a single c-182 dropzone, and it's tough to get in more than 2 or 3 jumps a day! I do most of my jumping in the spring/summer after work on weekdays, so that means 1 jump per day usually.

That's wouldn't have been at the Kamloops May Meet, would it? 'Cause if it was, I landed out -- downwind in the campsite -- on the same load! My buddy landed way up on the mountain under his 78 kaos ... had to hike back. Great video from his camera, though!

I'm jumping a 210 Silhouette with some 530 or so jumps on it, loaded at about 1:1 ... I pack for a slower opening, with the nose rolled about 4 times. My container is a Dolphin D3 ... I but I blame the premature deployment solely on the mouth of my boc being too loose ... Thanks, Clay -- me too!!! Frank

I've been eating moose and hiding in my igloo alot lately, so I didn't see any smoke ...

Thanks for posting for me, Gale! Apart from a bit of a sore neck today, I'm fine... I'll be giving my gear a good once over, just to make sure there is no damage to anything. Like Gale said, I had made sure my pilot chute was jammed as far into the boc as I could safely get it... Just make sure the mouth of your pouch isn't too loose if you are freeflying! Frank

Mark, just like you, I have every right to state my opinion. I don't expect you to agree, but I do expect you to respect my rights ... I believe the only people who should be permitted to carry firearms are law enforcement officers. I will never own a gun -- and thankfully my country has strong gun control legislation. Since my first post on this issue, a man in Oklahome shot and killed his wife and his 3 year old daughter before taking his own life. A gun is a weapon of convienence, designed and made for just one purpose: killing people. When I talked about "innocent people" earlier, I was referring to people like this llittle girl who will never get the chance to grow up and experience the wonders life holds for us ... because someone she knew owned a gun, and chose to use it on her. The dude in LAX was heavily armed -- I doubt he could have wounded so many people with a knife...
-
I have just two words to say: gun control ... How many Americans have been shot dead by other Americans this past week? How many children? How many law enforcement officers? How many people who were loved by their friends and families? Too many ... the price of your freedom to carry guns is too high ... Go ahead and flame me -- you can scream at the top of your lungs for "rights" and "freedom", but it won't bring back the innocent people who are now dead...
-
hmmmm ... that doesn't sound right ... where did you train??? I skydive 'cause it's challenging, I enjoy the comradaire with the people I've met there, and it clears all the other shit outta my head for a while.
-
I couldn't agree more! Many (most?) of the skydivers injured or worse are pushing the envelope. I think there are some numbers in "the skydivers handbook" that might help you out a bit. Oh yeah, my Dad has to leave the room if skydiving is even mentioned ... and I'm 40!
