Well I've never been there myself, but I have talked with a few people who have... including a jumper who was injured during her first skydive -- when she was wearing a video camera! After some of the stories I've heard, it's unlikely I'll jump at that dz if I'm ever in Calgary. Have you ever been there Lisa, of talked to anyone who jumps there? I remember last year at the Kamloops May Meet -- I think it was even the last load of the boogie, someone lost a fancypants helmet and dv camera in freefall ... but the jumper didn't have 1/2 the gear in that pix! When I landed last night, I looked down and found some goggles in the field -- with flames painted on them. Anyone missing their goggles??? "There's nothing new under the sun"

The strange part of the jump was when Gale and I were in the plane with a couple of other jumpers, and the pilot opened the door around 8 grand -- over the ocean -- to let a bee out! Gale, your exit was great, and I think you are right on track. As you do more jumps, you'll become more accustomed to spotting, and you'll become more comfortable with all that freefall time! I know in my parts, there seems to have been an increase in the number of malfunctions and accidents... keep in mind, there is a difference between "accidents" and "foolishness" that leads to injury.
