    My "pre-second" CReW jump was yesterday ... I've followed the CReW guys around the sky a few times in the past, and always enjoyed watching from up there ... now it's time to learn for myself!!!

    Nothing special ... it was just another skydive! Fun is fun ... it doesn't matter what # jump it is. But I got a heck of a pieing for it during my birthday party at the dz (we had 2 bands play -- now THAT was memorable!)

    That is quite a blanket statement ... can you provide the cause of these premature deployments? I had one in a stand flying a dolpin -- but the problem was that the mouth of the boc had become too loose. That is my fault, not the containers. Blaming 6 premature openings on one type of container without providing any factual evidence is not constructive.

    So true ... just think what a great place the world could be if there was an more equal form of distribution of wealth... and people born in poor parts of the world didn't have to suffer as much, and tyrants were prevented from seizing power in any nation... and people like Saddam Hussein control the armaments of a nation... it would be better. The U-N is necessary. It's a start.

    You are self-appointed. The rest of the world didn't choose you as leader. That what the U-N is for. Now maybe you don't like the U-n ... but remember: the rest of the world doesn't necessarily like the USA directing global policy.

    My countrymen who have travelled aboard the Space Shuttle are Canadian heros. I believe that people who venture into space represent much more than any one country. they represent the human race. One planet, One people!

    Wendy, I may have missed it in earlier posts, but do you work on the Space Shuttle Program?

    My heart goes out to the families and friends of the fallen astronauts, and indeed to everyone involved in the Space Shuttle program. I have, on many occasions, watched in awe as the Space Shuttle flew over my part of the planet. I sincerely hope the entire space program is not furthur reduced because of this terrible event.
