-18c at altitude is the lowest temperature I've jumped in. I don't mind the cold at all.

If I can do 50 jumps/year, I'm satisfied... small dz, big mortgage, busy kids, etc.

I'm with you, Quade. I have the good fortune of having a former Jr. National 4-way champ at my dz, and he never turns me down for a fun jump when's not getting paid to fly camera. I'm a poor excuse for a relative worker, but I sure learn lots from my buddy when he takes the time to teach me!

I hope your brother is going to be ok ... today the Premier of British Columbia was arrested and charged with DWI during his vacation in Maui ... it seems that some people will never learn. Anyway, akaGQ, I'm sending good vibes your way...

Just up the road and around the corner ... our friends have a GREAT place up there! Of course, living on an island, there is no end to the incredible waterfront properties ... maybe I'd take on of those multi-million dollar places! But really, I'd never want to live anywhere other than Vancouver Island. It's great here! Mild weather, ocean, lakes, and beaches everywhere, mountains, skiing, world's best scuba diving, camping, multicultural city, my dropzone...

There are people in this world who like to know what is going on in their communities, and there are companies that provide that information. Says who? You have absolutely no right to determine what information is made public, and what information is suppresed. A controlled media is undemocratic, and in fact dangerous. Who do you suggest decides what the public should be told? The government? The Church? You??? Are you an expert on every subject? The journalist is facing a deadline, and has to gather as much information about a subject they may no very little or nothing about, then try to make sense of it, and present it in a way the uninformed public will understand. The writer of this article probably has never had any involvement with the skydiving community. All our jargon and terminology is like a foreign language to an outsider. You, on the other had, have the good fortune of having a deep knowledge of the sport. Perhaps you don't find the information as specific as you would like, but Joe Lunchbucket now has some idea of what happened.

Maybe so -- but that is because he often treated others that way ... in fact it was because of him I stopped visiting this website for several months. Just couldn't stand his BS anymore.

If I remember correctly, our young candidate for world leader last said he spends his money in bars now that he is old enough, so he doesn't skydive too often... and that his job takes time away from his hanging out here.

I am in full support of strong gun control measures, particulary hand guns. I would not feel safe walking around in a society where people are armed. Remove handguns from society, and you eliminate thousands of murders and accidental deaths. I wonder how many people were shot in Texas today?
