Here where I live, you hear about this stuff ALL the time. A lady was killed last year swerving to miss a six foot ladder that had come off a work truck, she ended up going over a guard rail on a bridge and drowned. There are always paint buckets, brooms, etc in the roads. My husband is in that trade and he is extremely careful how he ties things down. So much so he bought a step van to make sure that all is secure. I never follow a pick-up truck that has its tail gate down and it hauling something. Its just not safe and I have "that" kind of luck. I do know people like that personally. I do think we should take care of our own...I also think that when you receive help, you need to spend the money wisely. Cell phones, brand new cars, etc are a LUXURY. I am also saying that not everyone on welfare is like that, I think there are a few, though, that do milk the system and take advantage of all that they can. My husband was my best friend, helped me deal with an asshole boyfriend and waited on the side lines until I came to my senses (about a year and a half), when asked why he didn't hit on me he stated, "You were another mans girl. I don't mean to come off judgmental, though I would think that if you wanted that many kids, there are alot of kids out there that need to be adopted. I am also looking at the health issue for the mother, having that many kids so often CAN NOT be good for her body. But then again its not my stretched out, saggy belly. There is a direct correllation between our handing out money left and right to everyone else and rising prices such as....fuel costs, food prices, etc, all the money handed out could go back into our pockets and keep rising costs down, so average citizens like my parents who are in their 80's and live on a SS check don't have to watch EVERY penny they spend, because they don't know what tomorrow will bring when it comes to the economy.
