What an awesome dude. When I lived in NYC I worked on 60th at Columbus. I often worked late concerts, etc. and would grab some dinner and take it to the small park around the corner that was across the street from Iridium Jazz Club. A couple times a month I would end up sharing a bench with this nice old dude. Never got too deep into conversation, usually just spent 30 or 45 minutes commenting on the people hustling and bustling past Lincoln Center. I was always happy to see him there, and usually got a smile from him when I happened to show up too. Eventually Iridium closed down that location and moved further downtown. I never saw the guy again either. Only put two and two together about a year later when a co-worker commented that he missed seeing Les Paul hanging in the little park once in a while when he was in the area to play his set at the Iridium.

Type in "work at home" on the internet and you could spend the next decade sorting through the results. I'm working a couple different jobs as an EMT, both of which include significant amounts of downtime that I can spend any way I wish. I'm hoping to find some kind of "work from home" data entry type gig that I can pick up on the side to both fill some of that time and also bring in some extra cash. Anyone have any experience with any of these data entry, etc. operations out there? I have no doubt that 99.9% of them are probably scams, but I figure there has to be some legit info out there! Any suggestions much appreciated!!! Jason Killing threads since 2004.

Best movies, no, but two of my favorite movies are Rad! and Space Camp. Believe it or not, Space Camp is one of my favorite movies ever! Killing threads since 2004.

I love that movie! We begged my mom for ferrets for two years after seeing it. Used to watch it twice a week at least! Killing threads since 2004.

Sounds like good timing for a "when you gonna let me tap that" text! Killing threads since 2004.

Too bad. With the right person (someone who really loves doing it is the key thing for me) I would agree wholeheartedly with the anonymous poster. Killing threads since 2004.

Throw some punctuation in there and the @ and & are pretty popular too. Killing threads since 2004.

I'm fond of calling people both FuckJars and StickJack (same thing as FuckJar, except PG). Used to travel a bunch w/ no radio in my car, so I had a CB that I listened to and talked on once in a while. Big rig was swerving all over and I hollered for the FuckJar to wake up and pay attention. A lady driving another big rig chimed in that she'd never heard the word before and liked it. About six months later making the same drive I heard another driver use the word. Someone asked him about it and he said he got it from a lady trucker who heard it from "a little 4 wheeler." I blushed with pride! Killing threads since 2004.

Only once have a not, and I don't think that girl could even figure out how to suck on a popsicle. Killing threads since 2004.

A "20 footer" is someone who looks smokin' from 20 feet away but close up... not so much. I've always liked: "Better be careful, 50 yards hides a lotta' ugly." I like it!! But it's too long for me to remember quickly. I'm a dork. Ha, well, between my friend and I it's more like: "Holy crap, look at her." "Dude, 50 yards." "Thanks man." Killing threads since 2004.

20 footer. I think I can figure that one out - but do explain. A "20 footer" is someone who looks smokin' from 20 feet away but close up... not so much. I've always liked: "Better be careful, 50 yards hides a lotta' ugly." Killing threads since 2004.

I voted creepy, though it's not so much creepy as just not for me. My downstairs neighbor just died last week. He had all sorts of problems and when I realized I hadn't seen him in a day or two I went to check. Called the cops and we broke in and I found him dead, blue and in full rigor. Working in EMS I typically see a dead body at least every week or two and any creeped out feelings I might once have had are long gone. I was close to this neighbor, but sitting there with him while waiting for on-duty EMS to show up and confirm didn't effect me at all. When I went to his service though seeing him in the casket did upset me a bit. Even while looking at his dead body on the bed, what I thought about was the guy I knew. Looking at the posed body just made me feel sad that this was the last memory so many people would have of him. Killing threads since 2004.

Have to give a shout out to Danny Elfman. He composed the scores for most of Tim Burton's films including Batman and Beetlejuice. He did both of he recent Spiderman movies. Done a bunch of TV too, most notably the theme to The Simpsons. Probably still bringing in a royalty check once in a while as the lead singer/songwriter for Oingo Boingo! Killing threads since 2004.

Currently reading The Alienist by Caleb Carr again. Have read it a couple dozen times over the last 10 years and get something more out of it each time. Excellent historical fiction circa late 1800s in NYC. Follow up Angel of Darkness is a pretty awesome read too. Read lots of historical fiction, and then like to read up on some non-fiction from the same era to see how accurate the non fiction was. The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt is one of my favorite non-fiction books I've read. Reads like a novel, which you can't say about many biographies. I read Catcher in the Rye a few times a year, and also My Side of the Mountain. Both books from childhood that had big impacts on me. Killing threads since 2004.

Too funny. Before I even got to the end of the word veggie I was thinking to myself "grumble...grumble...freakin chili with no meat...grumble...grumble..." Got a pretty big smile with your morally wrong comment just a few words later. Congratulations!!! Killing threads since 2004.

That doesn't even guarantee it will be correct. Just bought a full sheet cake last week. They gave it to me with my very large and very specific instructions (only 4 words long) but still managed to spell two words incorrectly. Worked out in the end though, because I got the cake for half price and we all got a laugh out of it at the party. Killing threads since 2004.

I can't blame Contador for his first attack. There is no doubt in my mind that if Lance had manged to get in yellow before Contador that Contador would have been asked to work for the rider in yellow even though he was far dominate to anyone else in the ball game. For his own sake, and to keep the team that HE was the leader of working for him, he needed to be the first in yellow. That team was Contador's team that Lance happened to join when he made the decision to come back. I was happy to see Lance do so well, but I feel everyone needs to live in the present and not in the past. In the past teams were built around Lance and only Lance. The people on those teams knew their jobs and were there to get Armstrong to France in yellow. It was obscene to think that the team should want to play that same role when he joined back in late in the game. I look forward to seeing what he will be capable of after a full year of training, hopefully no broken bones, and a team again riding with a team whose sole purpose is getting him to France in Yellow. My only regret about him riding again is that the Versus network is going to have to go back to being OLN, the Only Lance Network. Killing threads since 2004.
