-
this is post #400 for me....does that count? ok, no.
-
Just sat around the dropzone for three days....clouds, then blue sky, but wierd winds. So.... Do you have a personal wind limit? What is it? Does gusty versus stable but high influence you decision?
-
do any of you have a pic of one? do you happen to know the website? (I know, I could probably find it with a little searching, but I am lazy!)
-
LMMFAO!!!!!

Sweet pics. Looks like you had some fun. Congrats and...... BEER!!!

Lawrence, I have 115 jumps and I am still in awe at the beauty of our sport. We do an incredible thing! Enjoy and best of luck the rest of the way. See you at 13,500! Anne

I've gotten in the habit of untwisting my steering lines on the last pack of the weekend. Part of my ritual now.

Name the time and the place, Marc!!!!!

All this excitement about PLFXpert being back on the market.... just wanna say, I, too, am on the market....

Richard, Ease up! this guy has done nithing to harm you personally. Why are you getting all bent out of shape??
-
No, I am not a professional character judge, but I am a professional educator who has dealt with several students with the same condition that clindonradloff has. I suspect that I have WAY more knowledge of his condition than you do. I clearly have more compassion towards those who face obstacles than you do.
-
Why are you so hostile, Richard?
-
Congratulations, Richard, you are officially ignorant. Just because people are different does not mean we should shun them or judge them.
-
Jim, I agree. His posts may be annoying at times, but then I just choose not to read them. Flaming him and making generalizations about disabilities we don't completely understand is lowering our own standards. The guy is harmless, just ignore his questions if they bother you! Anne

I am thankful for my sister, and her family. Being blessed with two nephews has changed my life. I am thankful for my parents who are pains in the asses, but only cuz they love me. I am thankful for the people at my dropzone. Most of them are so wonderful and caring, I have been welcomed into this incredible family. I am thankful that I want for nothing. I complain about the little things, but all in all my life is good, and I am free to do as I choose. I love my job, I love my hobby, and I love my friends. What else could I ask for?? Blue skies to all, Anne

Sounds like you had a sweet weekend... Me: 0:8:1 three jumps friday, four yesterday and just one today. My one today was a two point eight-way. Super cool. I cannot believe how weel the exit went. Usually the first load exit is kinda messy. five of us were off the plane and right together, the way it is supposed to be!!! Awesome.

That sucks! You have every right to be upset. It is absolutely necessary that we all look out for each other at all times. To land out and not have anyone pick you up is unacceptable!! I always make a point of looking for the solos on my loads once I am on the ground. When you jump with someone, they will notice if you lnad off, but we all need to keep an eye on the solo jumpers!!! I am glad you are OK!! Anne

decision altitude to me: whenever i have a total or spinning mal, as soon as I see that it is junk, I chop and go silver If I am under a canopy that is not perfect, and I am working to fix it, like a line-over or something, I will work til 1800. Than I decide. Land what I have got or go reserve. It is the altitude at which I stop fighting a questionable canopy and get myself a good one. Out of curiousity, what is your definition of decision altitude?

I hate having the loop for my Alti-III around my fingers, so I was considering the wristwrap made by cloudflyer. Have any of you jumped it? What do you think? Any other solutions to the discomfort of the loop around the fingers? Thanks, Anne

I, too, had to spot the C-182 during my static line progression, and feel that I can do it pretty well. I have never spotted the King Air by myself. An interesting note: at my DZ, the jumpers call the cut. I know that most places the pilot cuts when the GPS says it is time. We tell the pilot where we want to cut, and he gives us "priors", then one of us sticks their head out and calls the cut.

Ok, the weekend before Thanksgiving in St. Louis is usually around 50 degrees, if we are lucky. This is our third or fourth consecutive 70 degree weekend!! One of the DZs near me (not my usual one) was open today, and being open during the week is not common. I had the afternoon off. What a great chain of events!!!! It is Friday night and I have already made three kick-ass skydives!!!!! Life is sweet. Hope you all jump your butts off this weekend! Anne

Congrats and.... BEER!!!!! you go!
