  1. 1-800-283-JUMP from anywhere They have a PD210 to rent, and a Javelin with a PD230?? maybe, I am not sure. Then they have Dolphins with Skymaster 230s in them. Call them, like Tomas said, there may be a canopy they would let you put into your own container! Hope to see you Saturday! Anne "by stitches, cloth, and cord,...a god of the sky for those immortal moments."-Lindbergh

  3. are you telling on me you little brat??? Seriously, I did a dive with Brian and he was center float and somehow managed to flip on exit. Jason crashed onto Julie on the big-way this morning/ YOu are right....it is fun to see people with way more experience screw up! Welcome! Anne by stitches, cloth, and cord, made himself a god of the sky for those immortal moments.
  4. Hey Dave, Sounds great! In Illionos our weather wasn't quite warm enough for shorts, but short-sleeved shirts!! And that is Crazy for December in this area! I am glad you had a great weekend. I managed to do 7 jumps myself, and learn a ton. Landed on my feet on six of those! Blue skies to all, Anne
  5. "Jumps for license and rating qualifications must be signed by another skydiver, pilot, or USPA National of FAI Judge who witnessed the jump. Jumps to meet skill requirements must be signed by a USPA jumpmaster, Instructor, I/E, S&TA, or a member of the USPA board of directors." This is from the old SIM. If and when you go for a PRO rating or such, the appropriate person has to witness the landing or jump. But for the jumps leading up to that, a licensed skydiver should be fine!
  6. You don't need to tell him about the Illinois terrain....I think he is quite familiar with our little neck of the woods.... Marc..If ya move to Chicago, you'll have to jump with us occasionally as you drop by the orchard! Anne
  7. wceviper has started the list to ban the mixing of man-porn and skydiving, so let's start the banning female porn/skydiving list...here we go.... 1. Loss of lubrication....ouch 2. Too much time naked in freefall ----> saggy breasts 3. If we are jumping naked, do you REALLY want to put your rig between my legs in the airplane during certain times of the month...... Come on ladies, we can come up with a better list that the guys!
  8. I am with Mike- just checked mine and it says: SuperRaven 181-M b i think if it has a dash-M after it, it is indeed a dash M!!!
  9. Damn, MM, you scared me for a sec....I have had a VERY similar experience ON THE EXACT SAME CRUISE...If you hadn't said her name was Sara and she was from Stockholm.......
  10. I saw in November's Parachutist under new d licenses a name that I think I know...an old college friend. So I was wondering if any of you know Evan Matteo. If it is the person I think it is, he would be 30 years old, kinda blond, not terribly tall...smart guy. Does the name ring a bell with any of you? Thanks, Anne
  11. I know that the USPA sells them at http://www.uspa.org

Bring it on girl, and remember that PAYBACK IS A BITCH!!
  13. The way all of this was explained to me is that the BOD has the power to make rules and regulations with or without your proxy. They can change the rules about who can jump with a non-licensed jumper, for example, without your proxy. That is what the BOD is elected to do. They need to proxy votes to change the structure of the USPA and how the officials are elected.
  14. We have a bunch of landing "suggestions': 1. left hand pattern 2. land in the direction of the wind T 3. first man down sets landing direction 4. no "s" turns over landing area 5. don't spiral into traffic
  15. yeah, my buddy hasn't gotten any of those awards, so our new objective is to get her her falcon and her eagle under the old rules, instead of under the new rules this spring!
  16. I think they are also retiring the silver falcon for a 36 way, right?
  17. No, these kids really did not know it was a drinking game. They attended a TINY private school and were VERY protected from the real world. Thye made a big deal out of one of the boys holding the hand of one of the girls. They talked about it all year.
  18. A couple of years ago I was teaching sixth thru eighth grades. My sixth graders played Asshole (they called it janitor) They had no concept that it was a drinking game!!! Cracked me up every time I played with them!!!
  19. My friends and I enjoy Up the River, Down the River Only cuz it's fast!
  20. What are you, a slacker trying to take time off between jumps??? Who needs longer currency requirements?? Just jump!
  21. I guess my answer is that I will take anything steady up to 25. Today when first load was manifesting they were haning at 10-15, gusting to 25. I know how to set up in 10-15. I know how to set up in 25. I do not know how to set up for both at the same time!!!! I would rather skip a skydive than hurt myself because of crazy winds! Blue skies and steady winds, Anne
  22. I went ahead and got my B, but now I am trying to figure out why to get a C. I don't want to pursue a coaches rating anytime soon, what esle does a C allow me??
  23. do the water training and skip right to a "D" license, right? Who needs a stinking B or C???
  24. Congrats, Joe! It took me until about 65 jumps to get mine cuz Jason didn't hold water training in forever!!! Not a big deal, but now you can do night jumps! And..... BEER!
