Yeah....we've all probably had our moments.... I freaked out on my first 15 second delay. I was supposed to be using my altimeter instead of counting. Well....every time I tried to read my altimeter, I did a left-hand turn, freaked out, turned back right, and tried again. I had NO IDEA what altitude I was at. Sure I was going to die, I pulled my ripcord. My JM's version of the jump was that I was doing nicely controlled 90 degree turns and pulled at exactly 15 seconds. Solution for me......jump again.... I also used to have to watch at least one load land before I would manifest. I probably had close to 100 jumps before I got over that. So my advice....get to the DZ....tell your instructors what you are feeling....keep picturing everything going well....your feelings are normal! ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!! -
I was cleared to self JM after 19 jumps.... Similar progressions, had to throw in a couple extra 30 sec delays because I was unwilling to give up the radio. I liked Jason to tell me how to fly!!!! On my last jump with a radio I asked him to talk to me, so while I was under canopy he started telling me the story of Goldilocks. He thinks he's funny! ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

Good for you! You should speak up for yourself and everyone who is being mistreated! When times get tough my mom always tells me that everything happens for a reason. I usually want to punch her, but in the end she is usually right. Good luck! ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

The message that I want to sent to up and coming skydivers is that an AAD is not a tool to be relied on. Even if you have a perfectly packed main, a perfectly packed reserve, the newest and greatest harness/container, and a turned on, correctly calibrated AAD, YOU CAN STILL DIE. I also believe that spending my money staying current will help me save my own life when I choose to jump out of an airplane. By the way...I have my Cypres on for every jump. And I check it everytime I gear up. BUT...I don't rely on it. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

I find that I don't sing when I am in the King Air, but on the ride to altitude in the C-182..... I always sing something, usually a sappy slow song. I just love the beauty and peace of what we do. I just relax thru the ride.... ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

I am here because I am still sick. I spent my evening cleaning up my house. Then I baked a cake for Skymedic's b-day tomorrow.....it is really cute. I don't know if it will taste good, but it looks kinda neat! ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

I'm with them....I vote other....for Wings. I jump something else...but after Skymedic's awesome service from them and the beauty of his rig, and checking out the pin protection, I vote Wings. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

Well....right now I am sad cuz I can't drink....not while I am on these meds.... But...I am a huge fan of most Zinfandels (not the sissy white zin crap...the real stuff.) I like Amber Bock. My beach drink is a Mai Tai (sp?) My summer drink is gin (or rum) and club soda, twist of lime. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

I am online cuz I slept all day. I have been sick FOREVER and now I am on a totally backwards sleep schedule. I sleep all day and am up all night. My boyfriend is currently swearing at his x-box, which is at least keeping me amused! ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!
