    People who pay by check at the grocery store. Hello....use a check card...it is the same thing and so much faster. Of course...these are the same people who wait until everything is scanned to pull the checkbook out of their purse....AAAHHH!!!! The number of my students who have cell phones and computers in their rooms...and their parents do not know how to keep them from talking/ IMing all night.... ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    I am having a great summer, too! Getting married in three weeks....haven't worked since June 2nd (I am a teacher)....Just planning the details at this point...and it is fun! ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    My dad was impressed when I made my first jump. Then he was pissed when I made my second..third...heehee. I calmed my mom anyway by teaching her about reserve canopies, AADs, jumprun, landing patterns....I taught her everything I could about how we go about making this crazy sport as safe as we can. My dad never listened to any of that, unfortunately. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    I have had two reserve rides in 300 jumps....and I did not pack either of them...one was packed by a DZ packer...and one was when I was demo-ing a Javelin. My first jump on my own pack job I threw out and said, "please open please open please open...." and it did. Now I am a bit leary about jumping another person's pack job ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    I put trying to decribe skydiving right up there with the most common question I get..."Is it fun?" No, asshole...it sucks...that is why I continue to do it... people will not get it until they have tried it. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    Step-dad does not own the complex where she is living. He owns property in a neighboring county. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    as far as I know she is alone....she is actually paying the rent herself (step-dad got her a job leasing apartments....) ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    She is not emancipated...that would make sense to me. She is just a 16 year old living in an apartment that Mommy rented so she does not have to change schools. I worry about her safety for the next two years of high school. yes, Missouri. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    Is it legal for a 16 year old to live by herself? I know a child who got an apartment. Her mom signed the lease, so I am not sure that the complex knows that she is living there alone. Do parents have a legal responsibility here? ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    We get a United Way envelope in our mailbox with our name already on it. We are then "encouraged"' to give. They claim that they do not keep track of who donates and who doesn't, but I do not believe it! I refuse to give every year. I give to two charities that I feel strongly about....and I do not force my feelings on anyone else. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    I agree about taking your hat off...and I think that applies to women now also. It didn't when women wore dress hats...hats appropriate for church. But these days women are wearing the same hats and visors that men do...so I think they should remove them during the anthem. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    Skymedic and I are getting married in five weeks. We had picked that date so we could immediately leave for our honeymoon at Rantoul. Then Marc got into the Fire Academy, and class goes through that week. No Rantoul. So...I just booked us a honeymoon in December to Cozumel. I just wanted to go somewhere warm and relaxing. The bittersweet part is that we are going to be gone over Christmas. Things are changing this year for Christmas since my dad just died last Christmas....So...I am excited about the honeymoon and the beach, but a little sad that we are able to do it because my dad is gone.... ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    Yeah...that is annoying...although I have gotten to the point with emails and things like that that I can only laugh. There must really be some stupid people in this world, because these phishing scams sometimes work. So just pat yourself on the pat for being too with it to fall for such stupidity! Real offers will come at some point! About posting here...sometimes I prefer to post my frustrations here because I do not want the thread to turn into chitchat between a couple of other people, or to be taken over with flirting or talk of boobies..... ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

    It is not about the price.... I am a teacher....made about $35,000 a year when I started jumping. And I have a mortgage payment.... It is about how you choose to spend your money. I stopped eating out as much...stopped shopping for clothes as much...stopped drinking in bars with my friends as much.... It is a series of choices that landed me with a license and my own gear. And no regrets. ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!
