Oddly enough, my left lower leg, the one that I broke, is the bigger one. I think this might be due to the Four Compartment Fasciotomy and the very large calcium deposits (or whatever they're actually called) that surround the points where my leg was broken. I'm not really worried about my thigh since I can feel it getting stronger every day. I think the lower leg will pose a bigger challenge. I guess a good physical therapist is what I really need. Shit, have you seen Herman Maier's shin after his motorcycle accident? Geez that thing is HUGE. I mean, it's at least 28 inches around. It doesn't actually look like a shin anymore. They managed to make a boot that works for him some how. Maybe I should give him a buzz. Anyone got his number? But hey, if there are any physical therapists out there, who can show me some exercises that might help, I'd certainly appreciate it.

I have a dilemma and I could use a little help. I'm trying to get myself back in shape so I can hit the slopes with some confidence once the snow arrives. My leg is feeling better but it still don't look none too good he he he. Here's the dilemma: My left lower leg (the one that I broke) is now about 2 inches wider than my right lower leg. My right thigh is now 3 inches wider than my left thigh - I've got crazy legs. The fact they look goofy as all hell is one thing but, my foam fitted racing boots won't fit any more and I need to equalize my lower legs somewhat before I go and spend $700 on a new pair....... How in the hell am I supposed to even the shit out? I mean, I go hill climbing and work out at the gym about 4 times a week but the more I work out the bigger difference I see. Any bright ideas? How big is that thing? I can't remember which units I tried - I borrowed them from a friend just to test - but they were both too big and heavy to helmet mount. As far as output goes it's was like pluggin' the flash into a freakin' car battery Action©Sports

That sounds nice - Both of the Quantum units I tried were too heavy to have mounted on the helmet. They fit best on a belt or in a pouch around my waist. The cycle time was freakin' awesome though. I just couldn't justify jumping with that much extra gear for the most part. With new batteries, my flash cycles quite fast so I just spend a few extra bucks on new ones when I want to use it. I just spent seven months and 8 days on the ground due to a shattered tib/fib. The boredom was far worse than the pain - it's a real bitch trying to find stuff to do when you're stuck on the couch Although, it was kind of fun racing the old folks in the motorized shopping carts at the grocery store

I've never tried the Canon since I don't use Canon cameras but, I have tried a couple of different models of the Quantum battery packs and they all worked quite well. Just be careful how you run the cords from your helmet to the pack. Peace, Z Action©Sports

You are absolutely correct, Morcyk. It would be even more accurate to say that at the time the Bible was written (made up), only a very select few knew how to read or write in a n y language. Knowledge is power. If you don't have the ability to read yourself, you are forced to rely on the abilities of others. At the time, educated people (most commonly representatives of the church) were revered and their stories were to be accepted as truth without question (does the word "Faith" ring a bell?) Can you think of a better way to control the populous than to give them only the information you want them to have?
