Neck pain following first jump

Skydiving is a physical activity like any other and if you are not a gym rat or world class athelete there is certainly an increased chance of strained/pulled muscles on opening. While I suffered no ill-effects from my first few jumps (I work out constantly) my brother on the other hand comes back pretty sore every week after AFF (never works out). Unless you are in excruciating pain I suggest you "walk it off" and take some anti-inflammatory meds. I suggest streching a bit before your next jump, tandem or otherwise. You probably do not need to see a doctor. My $0.02. -

If you have the other witnesses information, her license and such, plus the police report, just turn the info over to your insurance and they will take care of it for you... They will pay to fix your car and hunt her down then file suit against her for you. That is why we pay all these ridulous premiums... I just hope you had comprehensive coverage. I really don't think that was the intent of the individual's post, i.e. to offend. Everyone approaches life in a different manner and reacts to situations they find themselves in differently. I had to sit with my mother and help take care of her after chemo/radiation/bone marrow transplant, etc and watch her deteriorate and then finally get better. I am glad that she did not make the aforementioned decision and decided to fight it but her cancer was "possibly" cureable and we don't know what type of cancer the gentleman who passed had. Not all cancers can be fought with any "real" chance of survival. Since there is a strong chance I could end up with cancer as well I just try to live as healthy a life as possible and enjoy the time I have been granted. Hell, I got so much BS from people when I learned how to ride motorcycles it was ridiculous. I mean I heard them all: murdercycles, donorcycles, etc... they really tried to discourage you from doing it when I was in the military. Probably just a form of jealousy that is manifested as "concern". I don't even bother to tell many people I started jumping, I really am not up for another round of "talks"... besides, I am almost 30 and they aren't going to change my mind anyway. That is crazy expensive... I rather save my money and put it toward being proficient enough to do a solo HALO jump. Tandem is not that exciting after the first time IMO. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

How about checking out some non-Harley focused mags... like "Cycle World" and "Motorcyclist" they cover Harleys as well as other bikes. So many "bikers" I meet only know Harleys and just berate everything else... Don't forget there are plenty of other great bikes out there that aren't "rice-rockets" i.e. Triumph, Ducati, Aprillia, BMW, etc... happy motoring.

I, Robot turned out pretty good... not a masterpiece by any means, but is worth a trip the theater if you want something to do. The movie loved trying to make you afraid of heights... not quite as scary to people who regularly jump out of planes I guess. I give it a thumbs up... NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
