For maximum compatibility I would go with Trojan, Latex, Lubed, Ribbed... (yellowish package I believe) The spermicidal kind has a greater chance of causing irritation amongst males and females so I would skip it. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

bummer man... sometimes stuff is just beyond our control... Maybe not jumping saved your life that day. Whenever something lame happens and I can't ride one of my motorcycles I usually just tell myself that maybe fate was on my side that day. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

I don't know if I would call it heroic necessarily either... Sounds like the TM was leading with his heart and not his head on that maneuver. Just my $0.02. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

some people go to crazy lengths just to make themselves feel superior by "beating" the system... maybe he works for a copying or graphic arts company and steals the supplies... NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

that would also be better than getting hung up in a tree 40 ft above the ground next to a hive of angry bees... NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

Does this problem manifest itself when you are not overclocking your system? Are your drivers up-to-date? If you are just LAN-gaming why are you using WEP? For home networks I often don't use WEP and take the extra time to lock the box down instead. But to each his own... Personally I think the voltage differentials, additional heat, and slight alteration of the PCI bus timing frequencies are likely the source of the problem. Good luck! NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

I noticed that as well... everyone must be recharging the batteries/bank accounts in prep for WFFC. As a n00b, I can safely say that after reading all the info/reports I won't be attempting to catch any cut-away mains or low-turning myself into solid objects. (in theory) Hopefully other new jumpers take that stuff to heart as well. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080 -
lol, cool print... You don't actually drink that liqueur (or its equivalent) do you? I don't have much of a taste for anything based on Anise. ACK! NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

PPPoE is a protocol that enables your ISP to authenticate you over an "ethernet" network. It stands for Point-to-Point-Protocol-over-Ethernet. Basically it means that the ISP can sell the physical line you are using to connect to the internet to several users at once and still differentiate between them using the login/password they supply to you. I tried to keep the answer simple, I swear I did. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

I have set up Earthlink DSL for a business in SoCal with a linksys router... no problems. Personally I have used Linksys and NetGear for a variety of home/home office situations and they both worked nicely. If you need any specific setup instructions/help feel free to ask. I am a gov't IT-lackey. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

could be a couple of different problems, not the least of which could be your DNS server hiccuping... if you do a "ipconfig /flushdns" from the command line it will clear your cache so it can be resoved again you can also trying "ping -t www.google.com" to see if you are getting packetloss... there are about a hundred things to play with but these are a few if you are so inclined NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

If you want a whole channel you might have to expand the lineup to include other related topics including the aircraft pilot training/maint, etc. Stuff like "experimental" aircraft construction et all, parasailing, paragliding, hangliding... whatever... Call it the "Altitude Channel" NSCR-2376, SCR-15080

I watched Drop Zone for the first time since I started jumping... now I am going to have to look for the "bomb-bay doors" in the next Cessna I get in to, just in case. NSCR-2376, SCR-15080 -

Several more show ideas: AFF/ASP training series Military aspects and applications of parachuting including humanitarian aid drops. A "reality" show following soldiers through airborne/air assault schools All things BASE... etc, etc... The key to success IMO is to address the widest possible viewer base. RW competitions, while interesting to skydivers, will get old really fast to the uninitiated who don't realize the skill it takes to accomplish the formations. I think there are way more than enough topics to fill the timeslots, plus infomercials could be run in the wee hours to increase revenue. Heck, it would be a lot more interesting than the "Food" channel (with the exception of Iron Chef) NSCR-2376, SCR-15080
