  3. Ha ha ha . Use skype - take the system down from within .
  4. Relax! It's written in large letters across pretty much every one of my AFF jumps, and it's damn true.
  5. Do you have any speakers or other objects that generate magnetic fields nearby? Before you run off to buy a new video card, move the monitor out into the middle of the room, as far away from anything else as possible. Degauss it. If there are still lines on the screen, get a new video card. If not, then it's something in the surrounding environment.
  6. It's not exactly a wake-up call they'll be receiving .
  7. Just beer. Victoria Bitter. Crap, but free . Some friends left a six-pack here as thanks for a bed for the night .
  8. 0:0:0 Rig getting washed and repacked. Very quiet weekend.
  9. Yup. For me, it's all about awareness. Where you are, what's going on around you, and how close you are to other groups. Are you tracking up/down jumprun? Did some muppet get out 3 seconds after you? I don't think you can get that in 30 jumps. It's taken me over 200 to get to stage where I don't think I'm dangerous - I know where everyone is and where the next and previous groups are. While still working hard on my own jump. On a slightly different note, in Australia you're required to do RW training to get your B licence, and until you get most of the way through the training table you can't jump with non-instructors. To me it seems like a good idea - get you safe in the sky before you speed everything up...
  10. I don't know anyone who doesn't like their Cookie helmet, and I've asked 10-15 folks. The only person I know who doesn't like their Fibre Zone helmet ordered the holes in the box cut for the wrong camera (). Cameron, who runs Fibre Zone, offered to fix it for free, but the customer in question has been too lazy to hand back his helmet. So, it's his own bloody fault . Everyone else I know loves them, and I know a lot of people with them.
  11. Scotch fillet, rare, in a bernaise sauce, with green beans and chips. And two beers. Yum .

    Just replace the mudflap. Easy.
  15. Given they recently ran the 2nd World Cup of Canopy Piloting, I'd be bloody surprised if they didn't...
  16. Oh dear. Frenchy appears to be infectious .
  17. As SB said, in this uncertain world I don't install binary code from people I don't trust...
  18. To clarify slightly, according to the APF Op Regs: A D licence requires, among other things, 200 jumps. An E licence requires, again amongst other things, 500 jumps.
  19. They're not much fun for the cameraman in 4-way either...
