    The APF have a procedure for converting foreign ratings to Australian equivalents, allowing at least some simplification in the process of getting your ratings recognized here.

    The proper response to that is "Well, I get it from you". Over time he'll probably mellow. If you're interested, do a search. There's been a few threads about managing disapproving family.
