  4. Thats a good observation. You're improving all those skills because you're using them to perform that one move. 2 handed HD docks... learning to fly with your legs only (for the most part), which in turn heightens body awareness, which in turn heightens precision. Thats what I love about 2 ways and skill building jumps, you're constantly LEARNING

  8. It wasn't a money issue. I know that if he has to use his reserve, it will work. I knew if I said I did something of that sort (only once) I'd prob get flamed for it on here. It was a matter of "kid, you have 4 months to come up with the money for a new reserve. This is your grace period." I could go on about the situation and the reasons I did what I did, but they would sound like excuses in writing. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  9. Ditto, they seemed quite alright when I was there. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  10. I understand that. A rig I packed up a few weeks ago had a reserve too big for the container. A staff rigger had been packing it for months on end. I told the customer it was the ONLY time I was packing it and if he brought it to me again, it needs a reserve that is fit for the container. He understood... but I just don't see how people can be ignorant to something that obvious, especially knowingly. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  11. A bigger slider, which has been noted numerous times, is a solution. I had a Sabre120 with a pocket slider and that made it snivel 800 ft every time, a rigger can put one on your current slider. The second Sabre120 I owned was alright, I rolled the heck out of the nose (4 cells on each side toward the center), and when i quartered the slider I'd pull 75% of it out toward me (toward the nose). Then wrap the tail and all was good. Every canopy's different, good luck in taming yours. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

Yes. Have my phone on me at ALL times. Its not so bad climbing solo if you bring tunes. Kind of a good time for ones' self. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  13. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of feet first typa jumps. Cartwheels, forward/backward movements, front flips and back, etc. THEN, decided I wanted to flip on over. So a few solos and had a QUALIFIED friend help me out and hook me up doin some 2-ways. And kabamo. Took some time to work the kinks and zoomies out like any normal mortal being, but it was SO much easier to grasp once I had done plenty of sit/stand jumps. Body awareness is a big factor IMO. During your free time, stand on your hands, it helps _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

  19. Erica, I totally agree with you. I don't believe that true Christians can 'lose' their faith, however I do believe that it can be questioned. I also agree that there can be a lot 'more' to the story, yet I think Gibson was trying to depict the exact text of the Bible (for the most part). No more, no less. Whether it be for believers or not, it is what it is, and one can choose to take it as truth or as a nice 'story.' Since I know what I know, I take it as truth. Hopefully those who take it as a nice 'story' will someday be convicted of the truth. Whether it be through Gibson's "The Passion of The Christ," or whether it be through a friend dragging them to church one Sunday morning, His truth is revealed, and to God be the glory. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  20. I do have to say I'm enjoying this discussion, keep the idears coming people. Anyway, in reply to your statement Erica, I beg to differ. Many people have heard about and know the general story of Jesus dying on the cross to save the world. However, the movie depicted the realism and truth behind the text. I think it has the power to move those who haven't trusted Him. I think it also has the power to rejuvenate faith in Christians. It did for me. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

  23. If it hasn't been discussed, I found Gibson's depiction of Satan to be interesting. Any thoughts on what was meant by him holding that 'guy' (for lack of better description) when Jesus was being lashed? _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  24. Ok, I'm way late on this one but I just got back from seeing it this afternoon. Props to Mr Gibson, it was very well made in my opinion. The depiction was right on, and it definately hit home. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
