  1. I could feel your grief. You're strong girl... And you're already taking a lesson from a loss, in this life there are no guarantees so we learn to make the best of it. Even though he's not here in person, I'm sure there will be times you can feel his presence. He made quite the sacrifice for the sake of our freedom. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

  3. Travel! Grab a small group, say lets get the hell outta here and go see the world. Norway, Switzerland, and all those little hot spots. Invest at least 1/3 of it. Give some to the needy. Learn to fly and maybe buy a little plane. Get some more base gear that's for sure. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

    Texas...

Hahaha... We are open for business nights and weekends most of the time, sometimes till 1 am, sometimes until 2 pm. Rainy days we are closed. Lodging and grand tours are provided free of charge. We are here until further notice. Start off the new year right in 2006! _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  6. Unless you have prior rigging experience, I think getting the reserve in the freebag, compressing the pilot chute, and closing flaps would be completely foreign (not to mention bitchin hard) to you. I say its best to store your gear and reserve in a clear plastic bag, seal it up, leave it in the closet until the spring. But it may be fun to find your reserve manual and a rigger and try packing it up a time or two during the interim... just for fun and practice if you feel like it _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  7. I have this trend... if something scares me I'll go do it and then fall in love. A little messed up wouldn't ya say But as a kid I was terrified of the big roller coasters. I finally got on the Greased Lighting, and was immediately hooked. Must have run back in line 10 more times in a row to do it again and again. So goes the story of my life. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  8. LOL, yeah I spoke with them too, many a time. You're right they missed a good show, I saw your videos and that was worthy of documenting more than any skydive I've seen Catch you at an exit point soon! _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  9. Hah, interesting. They were going to document BASE, then I assume it fell through b/c it wasn't as convenient and less mainstream. I'd be interested to see how the skydiving is portrayed. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

  13. Haha, yeah! Well I hear to extend the college experience as long as possible! In all honesty, I've worked most of the time so I hadn't gone full time during some semesters. Never failed a class, but came close _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

  17. lol, yeah that would be an interesting scenario. I'd have to have someone help me up off the ground every time I land. Feasibly, I could probably upsize to a 65 and put on 11 lbs to be at the same wl, and 18 to be at 2.2. Longer lines is an option I'm sure... Thanks for the input folks, I appreciate the assistance in brainstorming... Just trying to see what multiple opinions out there. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  18. Ok guys... this discussion poses a situation I want to address and receive advice from. VX60, 2.1 wingloading. Risers are all of 19" and can't reach much above that. I want to be competitive in distance etc, and I know technique is key, but what about that extra mile we're all talking about? What about those longer risers and larger canopy at the same or higher wingloading? Is there hope for the wee ones...? _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  19. Walk the Line. I want to see it again. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

  22. Hi, With all due respect, I have not posted directly to you yet but I will. The only contribution I have made was my earlier post where I said that I learned quite a bit at 1.7 on the Velo and the WL in which you fly it is totally fine in my dz.com opinion. Secondly, I'm finally understanding what you're asking. And I, as well as everyone here, do not see anything wrong with how you're approaching. Its totally fine and if it makes you happy, more power to ya Now, the only thing I will say as far as an answer to your 'question' is that I think the only thing you may be missing is understanding how steep it dives in comparison to other canopies and having this reference close to the ground. Please don't beat me over the head with a bat here ;) You very well may, but I'm just saying that I learned a lot by slowly easing into front riser turns closer to the ground and it HELPED me understand the angles and characteristics of this particular parachute. Again, as been stated by previous posters before me, this could help in a situation where you're in a tight spot or something doesn't go exactly as planned and you may or may not realize how much room you have to get yourself out of a corner at lets say 500 feet. I'm glad Grant's out there to help ya, he's an excellent pilot. Take care and stay safe
  23. I didn't know there was any advice to give... ? Just looked like a plain ol discussion to me. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  24. Yes, it was relined by Precision. All lines are continuous, no cascades since the lines are super-thin. Most notably, it reduces drag. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
  25. Hmm, I'd venture to say I've put close to 200 on it so far. It had new HMA lines put on when I got it. Unlike Derek, I do take it over water though (see avatar)... and I think I was the first to get the poor thing a little damp. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
