  1. Well at least here is a case where the courts DID see that justice got done...
  2. Did they ever figure out it was you screwing up the camera on the biplane???? "Look before you jump, don't die until you're dead"
  3. I don't really think that is relevant here Bill, considering he was jumping camera. Chris : what altitude did you estimate he cutaway at? Also, I understand he beat his Cypres but it did fire. When you say he escaped death by a quarter of a second, do you think the Cypres would have fired too late to save him if he hadn't pulled silver himself? If you don't want to venture an opinion on this, I totally understand. Thanks for posting this story, I have started jumping with RSL disconnected recently (camera) so found this quite pertinent. 4. Gee, quade, it took about a whole 5 seconds to find the 'round the outside' reference on Google.... Will PS you do know what Google is right? "Look before you jump, don't die until you're dead"
  5. Well, uhhhh, one time I exited the Cessna 3 miles before the DZ..... Dude, EVERYBODY makes mistakes - some are embarrasing, some can kill you. Whether you learn from them or not is up to you. I learnt from mine and I am sure you have learnt from yours. Its called experience and there is only one way to get it. Will PS go ask any jumper with over 1 000 jumps if they have ever made any mistakes. "Look before you jump, don't die until you're dead"
  6. This is a freefly forum for freeflyers, kindly take your flat gay ass back to your flat gay forum... Will PS yep, black and burgundy - gives furniture orgasms when I sit down...
  7. Yep, I jump a Wings/Hornet/Tempo combo - I got the shit slapped out of me a couple of times (once BenW got smacked when he borrowed my rig). Easy to blame the canopy when it is actually your sloppy packing. I got packing advice from an experienced jumper and haven't had any hard openings since, one or two brisk ones but nothing painful. I'm still happy with my Wings (160 jumps on it to date), but my first rig was a Vector 1/Cruiselite '220/Swift which cost a total of $900 (plus $900 for Cypres). So maybe you are better off buying second hand now and saving cash for jump tickets. Will PS BTW I bought my rig from Roy and will definitely buy from him in future again, great prices, great service!
  8. Yeah, I got my freefly pants from Air Care end of last week (2 weeks from ordering). The fit is great and they appear to be well made, but haven't had a chance to jump them yet. They cost me £60 (inc. P+P), freefly matter's pants do look good but at £86 (plus P+P) for the basic pants that is just a bit too pricey for me. BTW I've made about 150 jumps on my Flitesuit freefly suit and really like it - ordering from here I did have quite a wait though. Will "Look before you jump, don't die until you're dead"
  9. I thought you didn't jump very often because you don't have money for jump tickets? Why not buy a cheaper car and use the money you save for jump tickets? "Look before you jump, don't die until you're dead"

  25. Well said Adam. Also, there is no jump number requirement for starting freeflying in the UK. At Hinton (and most BPA DZs) the rule is simply that you have your FS1 before you start freeflying. There are NO jump number restrictions to this. If somebody is really shit hot then he can get his FS1 with ease and start freeflying at 30 jumps. I then went on to say : I did pose that as a question, funny how some people start jumping up and down screaming. If you look at the rules in skydiving in the UK (eg 200 jumps min. for camera, 500 for wingsuit) I think you will find they are actually quite reasonable. Will PS did I mention that there is NO minimum jump number requirement for freeflying in the UK??? "Look before you jump, don't die until you're dead"
