I made about 30 something jumps so far this year and I don't know of too many fun jumpers that made more than that (in the UK that is...). This weekend looks good, but I've long since given up getting my hopes up. Being a weather reporter here is easy - its either windy, rainy or both.... Exactly! And if they did tell people that they had the new model coming out, but production was then delayed for whatever reason, those same people would be mad at them for the wait. Seems like a no-win situation for the manufacturers. I don't own an Icarus canopy, but nothing I've read here would put me off dealing with them. Actually the Hornet is quite easy to pack too. The price difference is quite substantial as well. One day when I am ready for an elliptical canopy at a heavier loading I would invest the big $$$s in a main, right now I'd rather spend that money on jump tickets... Will PS not that it has happened in this thread but any manufacturer slagging off my current canopy doesn't do themselves any favours when I am looking for a new main. For those of us not lucky enough to spend our *work* days on a dz this is a great place to waste company time and chat to skydivers from all over the world (even America!).
