Really? I got my copy, watched it today and have now got epilepsy as a result. The material was great but unfortunately it isn't very well presented - editing looks as if it was done by a crackhead who'd been watching too much MTV. And as for that cheesy porno techno soundtrack, this thing is best watched muted. I don't think this movie is excellent or brilliant, the swooping in it is both excellent and brilliant however it is pretty hard to appreciate because it gets given a crappy tandem video style edit. I was expecting something along the lines of the trailer on the Good Stuff DVD - that trailer is way better than this movie. I had my hopes up but what a disappointment - this could've been a lot better. Next time make Joe Jennings the director! -
Just an update for you guys, they have announced even more coaches for the Swedish Freefly festival. In addition to the coaches listed in my first post, the following will now also be attending : Brian Germain, Adam Rosen and Patrick Heaney. Looking at the lift capacity, the coaches lined up and the very reasonable jump ticket prices this is going to be one awesome boogie! Some quality photographers there (SteveO, Adrian Nicholas and Adam Rosen), I intend learning a lot.

How about making five CReW jumps a compulsory requirement for the D license? I believe the Dutch do it already. Might prevent people from hooking themselves in trying to avoid another canopy on finals.

How many jumps have you done in those 10 years? How can you practice safety to avoid a glider in freefall? How can you practice safety to prevent the jump plane crashing on take-off? How can you practice safety to prevent someone else from flying into your canopy from behind? Yes, you can practice safety and be safer but will that enable you to generally avoid any incident? No, I don't think so and sugar-coating it with statistics and comparisons to driving a car is doing a disservice to newbies. I take a calculated risk everytime I choose to jump from a plane, I am aware that skydiving is not safe and that the next jump could be my last. However the pleasure I get still outweighs the risk I take. Will

Obviously he is right. If you read my first post to this thread you would see that I agree with him. I was making an obvious (I thought) joke about the fact that British police regularly patrol without firearms, hence the "Stop or I'll say stop again" reference. It was a joke and Mike took it as such, not a dig at the British police force at all.

According to this BBC article, 41 American soldiers have died since the end of the war. Good of you to still be thinking of them. Now that it is out of the news a lot of people forget. There are even more troops still in Afghanistan who are still having it pretty rough right now, don't forget about them either.
