Umm, no everything is on the opposite side on the computers here!

Speedracer I did both the Microsoft and Cisco certification routes. If you want to make good $$$ with Microsoft get your Win2K MCSE NOW!!! In another year the demand will have dropped. I strongly recommend Cisco (even if they did just sack 16% of their work-force). Even just a CCNA will get you a decent job. If you need training materials, contact me privately and I will burn you some good shit. /s [drop till you party!]

Froggy Has somebody been dumping toxic waste in your pond?

Dude, I have done way more stupid and embarrassing things than that... Like the time me and a couple of the boys went to a gay bar because we heard we could get good E there... Err, actually maybe I shouldn't be talking about THAT night! Or one night in London when I was absolutely smashed. It was after working a shift at the bar at Alexandra Palace when they had the 1996 Brit awards. Anyway, Mick Hucknall (lead singer of wanky band Simply Red) walks past with a hot chick on each arm and I shout 'Hey look everybody it's Dick Fucknuckle!!!' Who knew that the big bastard behind him was his bodygaurd??? Or at my one sister's wedding reception on a crocodile farm (Le Bonheur), when I thought it would be really cool to go skinny-dipping... (this is the reason you will never see a REAL nudie pic of me BTW). Man, I think I'm starting to see why I am always getting in trouble...

Dunno, hopefully somebody creative, maybe somebody who owns a craft shop perhaps? /s [drop till you party!]

Jeji please won't you join us on the geek thread? Hurry on over before JT logs on and finds out I've been stealing all his wimmen!

Reminds me of an embarrassing incident. Me and a bunch of boys were sitting around in Cape Town one evening. We were having some beers and watching Baywatch before going out. Anyway, so the Baywatch intro starts, and we are all doing the bloke thing 'i want to be breast-fed by Pamela' and 'run, Yasmine, run'. Next thing I shout 'Shit, would you look at the legs on that!!!'. Then the camera pans up and guess whose legs they were... Yep, David Hasselhoff himself! The boys absolutely crucified me that night, every time I would start talking to a chick, Nipper would scream from across the bar 'Hey Will, does she have nicer legs than David Hasselhoff?'. Funnily enough I didn't pull. True story. /s [drop till you party!]

Hmmm, now if it had been David Hasselhoff that the Juice had killed somehow I don't think his acquittal would have bothered us quite so much... /s [drop till you party!]

Tee, you hereby have my blessing to start posting to the geek thread!

Man, when the sun sets at the Dal, THERE ARE NO RULES!!!
-
Shit, I sort of posted this thread as a bit of a joke, because I thought was the only hardcore el nerdo tech-head skydiver - I am pleased to say that I now realize I am in very good company!

Dude, just about everybody at Citrusdal is friendly. Lots of older skydivers as well (although not as old as some of the people who have been posting to that music thread!!!), very family atmosphere, but in the evenings.... WOO-HOO!!! The DZ is in the middle of an orange farm in a REALLY scenic valley (note : the one side of the valley can get rather close when tracking!). When the bar opens everybody normally goes down to the river (in the summer) and chills out there drinking. Then back to the DZ for a HUGE braai (BBQ) fire, lots of drinking and wind-mills that are stronger than a prop blast! Their lift capacity isn't great, but the people and social side is. Sorry, this is coming across as a bit of a plug...

Wouldn't it be even cooler if it actually HIT Australia? /s [drop till you party!]

Dan That was the most pathetic attempt I have ever seen by ANYBODY to initiate cyber in a ng!!!! (and I would know because...) /s [drop till you party!] -
[suckup mode] Mike that is a BRILLIANT idea, especially the part about us buying our own T-shirts and ironing the label on (except I don't have a girlfriend at the moment, so have nobody to do my ironing...). Also if we let the Yanks buy the XXXXL T-shirts they would only be good for reserve canopies for us non-obese non-Yanks! Mike, you are so clever, I think you SHOULD be a university professor! And I'm not just saying that because you are in the police and I don't want to make your aquaintance in a *professional* capacity in the near future...

I enjoyed that post man! Just makes me more and more keen to get more skydiving done, seems all the fun stuff (wingsuits, skysurfing etc.) can only be done after getting your D license. Now I understand why so many base jumpers go to South Africa - it is totally legal. Not even like Malaysia, I mean it is legal all the time as long as you don't endanger spectators etc. The Table mountain cable car operators were getting annoyed because all the base jumpers would only buy 1 way tickets to get up the mountain!
-
Skyslut : Difficult question I know, but which of the two (skydiving or base) do you prefer and why? /s [drop till you party!]
-
So, exactly what sort of *home-movies* do you make at home Frank? Do you have a lucrative little side-line that pays for your skydiving...

Does not compute... Does not compute... Does no... /s [drop till you party!]

One way or another, there will be some mass humping this weekend! /s [drop till you party!]

220'!!! Shit man, was that assisted? If so, how? Obviously I know nothing about base and have never made a military SL jump either, but there is one very important difference IMHO : the base jumper is in control of his jump (ie when to dump), while the paratrooper is simply soap on a rope. I appreciate that paratroopers have to be rather tough, but apart from their landings I don't see that much skill involved in their SL jumps (balls yes!). Also base jumpers pack their own chutes, they control the entire jump, how many paratroopers even know how to pack a parachute? /s [drop till you party!]

hahahahahaha Shark all the points you raised there are true, but they only apply to me AS FAR AS SKYDIVING IS CONCERNED!!!(and I suspect I'm not the only one). Sometimes I am amazed I have kept my job, because the last while I have been none of those things at work (ever wonder where I got the time to post over 300 times to this forum?)

Hey Sis You seem to have a helluva lot of *energy* that needs burning off. Just say the word and I will hop on a plane, fly across the puddle and help you out... (but the performance better live up to expectations...) /s [drop till you party!]

Man, there is just waaaaaay too much sexual tension between skyhawk and FFF. Anyway, we totally respect your guys sexuality and this answers a LOT of questions about FFF's *friend* in Australia. So, does this make skyhawk the toyboy or FFF the sugar-daddy? wahahahahahahhahahhahaha this is great!

Dude this is an excellent idea!!! Not just for Quincy, but it would be great to have dz.com T-shirts anyway. Alex why don't you start a new thread called DZ.com T-shirts or something? Finally all the skreamer groupies will be able to buy something with my name on it... Of course, you DON'T want to know what personalized gear FFF is gonna have made for HIS groupies (I can see skyhawk getting excited already)... /s [drop till you party!]
