I'm not! It made for some very interesting reading and got me thinking. Some pretty bright people argued some interesting points. LMFAO Yeah, pretty good huh? I pulled a sickie yesterday and went out to the DZ - I'm no longer grounded, but couldn't jump anyway because of wind. However I have been told that I have now officially graduated from the 'Stevie Wonder School of Spotting'. My defence was that I had opened my own personal DZ down the road, however we have only done the one jump this year and don't anticipate doing anymore.... Yeah, with hindsight now I realize that I only got mini 3 rings on my first new rig, because that just seemed the "done thing". If I had had a little more sense I should've asked around about that other option on the order form (for the large rings) and why it might be a good idea to get. This is something I think I would want when I buy a new rig with smaller main. About the reserves, that is a discussion I have just recently had with someone. They were coming up with all these obtuse arguments about why their reserve was "as good as" anything else on the market. I insisted that they had only bought it because it was the cheapest and if a PD was the same price they would've gone with the PD. I myself am now strongly considering getting a PD instead of the (cheaper) one I currently use. Will PS I do not, nor have I ever owned a PD canopy (main or reserve), but doing freeflying I would like the extra spanwise protection they have. "Don't die until you're dead"

For what its worth, I think you have done the right thing in making your daughter wait until she is 18. As for the general public, the following from Bill Booth's letter makes a lot of sense : What is the big rush? Physically I also think people are better prepared for skydiving when they are 18, ie fully developed, bigger and stronger. Sometimes I wish I hadn't taken 7 years between jumps 11 and 12, but I don't really feel I lost too much looking at the bigger picture (ie other life experiences). Will "Don't die until you're dead"

If you were referring to Eric Vliegenhart then I definitely agree with you there! Met him at the Dal when I was doing AFF. Very 'switched-on' dude and I respected the fact that he had paid for ALL his skydiving himself by packing (started packing when he was 13 if I remember correctly). Dude, just remember that this copycat site has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Citrusdal DZ or its web-site. The copycat site was the work of someone who happens to jump there, that is all. I can't stress this enough, especially since I am hoping to jump at Citrusdal again in September and don't want the locals kicking me in the nuts again. (Like they did last time when I kidnapped Cedric the Cactus and got woken up in the hangar with packing weights being dropped on my face!!!)). Will "Don't die until you're dead"

Wanna hear the really ironic part? Citrusdal (where HH used to jump in SA and where I learnt to skydive) is this numb-nuts's home DZ! AND sangiro did their web-site for them. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!!!! Anyway, on the Citrusdal web-site there is a link called 'Forum' under 'Experienced' (look on the left). This rocket scientist has actually posted there telling people what he has done and asking for feedback... I reckon we should let scratch loose on this domkop.
