Profits At Largest 500 Corporations Grew By 81 Percent In 2010
freethefly replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
When Ingersol-Rand bought the most successful refrigeration company in the world - Hussmann Refrigeration - the first thing they did was laid off the vast majority of it's employees and moved the jobs to Mexico and China. I was one of those employees that lost a great paying job -$50,000.00+ a year. I'm sure that there are many who would applaud such a move. On top of the massive profits that Ingersol pulls in, they pay no U.S. taxes. Pay no taxes + Low wages _____________ = Corp. That dialogue started from a comment I made in post #511. They are hard to tell apart from time to time. Sad that you can't discuss something without all the childish theatrics and personal attacks. PA? Childish theatrics? I was merely stating that at times it is hard to tell your comments from Marc's as they are so often similar. Even if tactics and points of view are similar, spelling and punctuation are a subtle difference. I'll keep that in mind for future identification purpose. Dont you agree that only someone really sick in the @#&%ing head would feel this way? Look in the miror fella You are the one that brought it up If this mission got fucked up, you would had been the first on here to take every chance to berate the President. Now that the mission was a success you question whether it was legal. You complain that they shot an unarmed man. You forget that all of those who died on 9/11/01 were mostly unarmed and those who were armed had no fighting chance. Over the years we have read your bits defending cops who taze or shoot unarmed criminals, yet here you are questioning the action of a Navy SEAL in the midst of a very intense situation where less than a second could had been the death of them all. The SEAL who double tapped that asswipe did as he was trained to do. He did not second guess the situation. Doing so would had put them all in jeopardy. He did the only thing that he could do. He eliminated the possibility of a threat. You should be ashamed of yourself for questioning the death of bin-Laden (now known as Fish Shit) and the action of the SEAL who took him out. You should be praising the United States Navy for providing the very best to get the job done. I don't expect that you can feel the level of pride that vets and active military feel for those who went into that compound. I am extremely proud of the finest Navy to ever sail the seven seas and for all who have and all who will serve upon her decks. GO NAVY "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Dont you agree that only someone really sick in the @#&%ing head would feel this way? No. I find it fucked up that your kind are so readily able to defend bin-Laden only because Obama is in charge and not Bush. I supported Bush at the start. I lost faith when he went the other way and attacked another country claiming they had NBC warfare capabilities that were going to be deployed upon the U.S. I stand by how I feel. For the record, I am a Navy vet. I love my Navy and I am damn proud that my Navy got the job done. GO NAVY Bet you CANNOT say that, Mr. Not a Veteran "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Marc Rush and the others like him will defend bin-Laden only because Obama is in office. I really wish Bush had got bin-Laden 10 years ago instead of attacking Iraq. I supported Bush 100% at the start. I wish he kept the course. He did not and now 10 years later Obama made the choice to take bin-Laden dead or alive. On a brighter note, a new drink has emerge from bin-Laden's death. Two shots and a splash of water. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." The government already tax us for using the roads we already paid for. I have no problem with some off the taxes in place to maintain those roads. I do have a problem with heaping more hardship on people. This is much like the new fees that the electric company in my county has added on. On top of the per kilowatt charge, there is now an "Service Availability" fee of $20.00. As explained to me by the asshat, without this fee they would not be able to supply electricity to the co-op members. Bullshit. There other fee is the "Power Cost Adjustment. This a fee on the actual amount that you have already been charged for. My use this month was $24.79. The adjustment is $2.48. The availability fee is $20.00. My bill for using $24.79 worth of electricity is adjusted to $47.27. That is outrageous. Even if I were to turn the power off at the pole, I would still have to pay a minimum of $20.00 for power I did not use, a $20.00 availability fee, and a power cost adjustment on the $20.00 of electricity that I did not use. In the end, I would have to pay 40 some dollars for something that I never received. This is robbery. The people who come up with new ways to add in extra fees are major fucked up people. I wish nothing good for them and only the worst to come their way. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Our friends in Oregon sent me a link to this lame bullshit. The USUAL SUSPECTS here will LOVE these guys. http://oregonspectator.com/ Caution Not safe for SANE individuals. I have since blocked all email from those twatmuffins in Estacada That is funny shit.To suggest that the President was angry that this mission went off is just plain insane. Somehow I get the feeling that many of the Obama haters would had loved to had seen the SEAL Team blown away by al-Qaeda so as to use it against Obama. It just really makes them mad that this mission was successful. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Your statement in post #439 Your statement in post #496 I never said that Bush didn't bomb Saddam. You did. It is in post #439 Get a dictionary. A PA would had been "You are as brain dead as Saddam and bin-Laden." A rhetorical question is one that does not beg an answer. However, feel free to answer, if you wish. This came near 9 months after the "Shock and Awe" event and a number of other bombings in an attempt to take Saddam out. I have not insulted you. Feel free to feel I had. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

That is your statement. You claim that no bombs were ever dropped on Saddam! That is insane, as we all watched it on T.V. in real time. By definition, yes it is a rhetorical question. But, if feel a need to answer, by all means, feel free to do so. This was a covert operation. The end justifies the means. Would you rather it spent weeks in the senate and plastered all over the internet giving OBL time to escape? Thanks! Your link just proves my point that Bush much rather drop bombs. You have nothing. Also, I do not have an irrational hatred towards Bush, but a rational reason to believe that his administration would had dropped bombs if given the chance. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Not a dodge at all. Just a point that they might had got bin-Laden and many others much sooner had the mission not been turned over to warlords who may had possibly helped them to escape. Not a PA, but a rhetorical question. Besides, you adamantly claimed that the U.S. did not drop any bombs on Saddam. Now, that is just crazy. And I did give you one example of bombs dropped on Saddam in the hope of killing him. You have nothing. And Bush sent an entire army into a sovereign country to kill Saddam. Although they failed to get him with bombs and bullets, they turned him over to be lynched. At lease with OBL we did not bomb the hell out of Pakistan like we did in Afghanistan and Iraq. Good riddance to Saddam and bin-Laden, anyway. I personally do not think that the world is better off now as it will be business as usual. Take out one bad guy and there is another to quickly take his place. It just goes on and on with no end in sight. It has always been this way and will continue on and on and on. Arabs & Muslims Rejoice at bin Laden's Death
freethefly replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
I would think that it goes back further than '91. I would go back to the Afghan-Russian war when the U.S. pulled support after the fall of the Iron Curtain. As Al Qaeda was created by the CIA (Al Qaeda means "The Base" or foundation) and the Mujahedin were allies in the war against communism (Reagan called them "Freedom Fighters), don't you (not specifically you Speedracer, but everyone) think that they may had felt abandoned by the U.S.? I think I would feel the same way if those who were on my side suddenly became friends with the enemy left me out in the cold. Yet, in my mind and the minds of many others that does not justify flying planes into buildings. However, actions create reactions. How can we expect anything less? "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young -
Not at all. I do find it disturbing the number of people (mostly republicans) who are upset that an unarmed mass murderer was killed by the Navy SEALS. And these are the very same people who were calling for his death before this. Would you rather they gave bin Laden a courtesy wake up call first? The Bible and The Koran - ever read either??
freethefly replied to Nataly's topic in Speakers Corner
I've read the KJV from Genesis to Revelations after being diagnosed with a potentially fatal illness. I found nothing in it but contradictions and passages telling me that I will burn in hell for bedding down with a whore. Even at the time I was reading it, I did not believe in a god. I was hoping for some comfort, but found only more sorrow. The Koran, I grazed through and found that it is much similar to the Christian bible. They are very much the same book, but with minor changes to fit the authors point of view. Both books have both good and bad in them. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young -
And by turning the operation over to the warlords, we will never know. Is your brain as dead as Saddam's and Bin Laden's? http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article3563.htm Just Google it. Haven't smoked pot in near 2 years. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Tora Bora. Mission turned over to warlords so full attention can be focused on Saddam. Bombs would had been a Bush plan. You know, "shock and awe" them into submission. Kind of like what he did in Iraq. Yeah, that worked out just grand! 100,000 dead people would surely disagree. Truth, there were those who wanted to bomb the compound. Had Bush and Cheney been in charge, they would had dropped bombs. Glad that we have a President who can actually think and make decisions that are beneficial to stopping terrorist. Face the fact that Bush knee jerked his way through eight years and accomplished nothing more than prolonging the search for Bin Laden. I'd hardly call Pakistan a "friendly country", but that's besides the fact. The intel was good, but like any info there is always a shade of doubt. The question now is what to do about Pakistan? Bin Laden was living across the street from a military base. How could they not question who was in the biggest, most fortified home on the street? Are these people just brain dead or were they sheltering Bin Laden? Most likely they were sheltering him as they constantly refused to allow the U.S. to search for him there. Pakistan is a safe haven for Al Qaeda. We need to pull all funding out of there dirty, bloody hands and keep a very close eye on them. Pakistani government is just as guilty as the Taliban. You should really consider putting down your crack pipe. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

I think you are wrong. Bush had the backing from the American people and the world when he sent troops into Afghanistan. It was only when he backed down and turned his attention to Iraq that he dumbfounded the American people and the world. It made no sense. Thousands of people died as a result of his bravado. The same would be felt of Obama, had he done the same. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

That was I who said that. It was wrong of me. Had the Army been given the green light, Bin Laden would had been buried deep beneath Tora Bora. I apologize for saying such. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

So true. Shame to attach the name of one of the greatest and most righteous American Indians who had ever lived. Geronimo fought the good fight and did what was right. I missed the part where Bush had credible intelligence on OBL's exact location and failed to order a mission. You speak as if Obama collected intel, analyzed the info, and led the raid. I'm glad that, and am proud of him for, having the courage to approve the mission, (and it did take courage) but President Hillary Clinton would have done the same. Look, Bush had two terms to get the job done. Fact: he did not complete the task. Fact: he dropped the ball and invaded a country that did not attack us. Fact: thousands of people died due to Bush's personal war. Fact: Bush took every opportunity for a photo operation and to remind America that he was "a decider." Fact: Bush wasted billions of dollars and turned Iraq into a hell hole. Fact: Obama stayed the course and got the job done. I believe that the Obama haters would had loved to have seen this mission fail so that they could have ammo against him.
