  1. Try the same partying on a deep sea boat;a boat where you cannot come back to your comfy bed anytime soon. Drink like a man work like man but know your limitations. Alcohol is fun but it can hurt you baaaad.
  2. I severely shattered both my feet in a skydiving accident and 4 months later I am starting to realize I will never be the same again. Anyways, does anybody have experience with a shattered talus. My surgeon is excellent but I need multiple opinions.

    Fishing

Went out this weekend on a 42' ft. boat (Friday till Sunday evening) Trolled out into the Gulf Stream a 172 Mile Distance from Ja-ville to Day-tuna-villa. It was pretty awe-some-ism.) Trolling is very boring until that rod bends over backwards like there is no tomorrow.
  4. When the slashing comes in your direction. Put the left/right forearm in the way of the blade. I mean the area between the elbow and the wrist. No critical blood loosing veins in that part of your anatomy. Attack with the free hand to the inside of your adversary to counter the blow/slash. If you want to really know about getting cut and the art of knife fighting, military training and law enforcement is good. However, there are some areas in the Philippines where certain people teach the art and are very good at it. Not necessarily martial arts, but very skilled with the hand blade.
  5. Ever hurt yourself really bad in freefall, save your life and not even notice the pain until you were on the ground and in one piece?
  6. Drinking and driving is dangerous. Drinking the night before skydiving is even more dangerous. Pizza is fine with me.
  7. Most people that get stuck don't feel the pain because the adrenaline and the will to survive is pumpin. Usually you get stuck multiple times before you quit fighting. What is your reason for this post?
  8. Crutch, I didn't know you had a stupid brother. I have two of them including myself.
  9. You either hate them or love them, just like cops.
  10. Did it break box office records? Anyways, I was born in 1971. However, I do pay attention to History. Unfortunately, history repeats itself.
  11. Let me rephrase that. 'SO WHEN DID HOLLYWOOD BECOME AN ELECTION TOOL.' I remember Star Wars. I remember Raiders of the Lost Ark. I remember Forrest Gump. I don't remember people ever running to the movie theaters to bash any political party.
  12. Yep, I agree. I see a storm ahead.
  13. So when did Hollywood become an election tool?
  14. I say the race is going to be as tight as a "excuse my language" virgin. What do you think?
  15. Congrats towerrat !!! My road to recovery was a looong time.I just did my "Next stop": 13400!!! two weeks ago with Pip Redvers in order to get good video for the comeback. Pip is the maaan. Video turned out great!!!
  16. Hell of a lot of posts you have received on this thread NightJumper. Say Hello to Winnie for me.
  17. Dummest thing #2. Pounding in under a perfectly good canopy at DeLand on USPA safety day. Cost me two broken feet, two surgeries and two months in a wheel chair. Believe me. Insurance is a good thing to have!!! Medical bills are astronomical.
  18. Getting on the early morning load with a hangover.
  19. Republicans get plenty of boobies. They are just better at NOT getting caught in the act.
  20. Well, he is averaging about 5000 spectators per hour. You decide.
  21. Does sdctic want to become a harness manufacturer or a rigger or is he already one. I can give think of plenty of reasons why to have "gear fear" after having my rig cut off my body. Anyways, Mirage is a very expensive product but customer service is outstanding. I use a Javelin because I like the product and it is comparable and more affordable but the staff at Mirage is a step above the rest in my opinion.
  22. I don't think so. It can start a bad habit early on. I use audibles but only when I started freeflying much later on. However, I have a helmet that mounts 2 audibles. If you are going to rely on the alarm, it is wise to have two in case one doesn't work. Regardless, I still find myself looking at clouds, ground and visual altimeter before audibles sound off. Just a good habit that was developed early on because my instructor stressed the importance of developing good altltude awareness.
  23. I have one of those deformed six fingered cats that are direct decendents of Heminway's cats. If I remember correct, Hemingway caught one of his biggest fish under the influence of alcohol. Anyways, I agree with you TypicalFish.
