  1. I tend to prefer being more "comfortable." But... it has on some occasions been embarassing. Lesson one. Don't leave your front door open. When I was 18/19 or so, I was at my parents house, just finished showering... walking about (I was alone).... A friend decided to come over. The general rule is that if the front door is open, come on in. So he opened the screen door as I walked by . . . . deer in the headlights for both of us. Lesson two. Naked has no usable pockets. Lesson three. Old ladies in water aerobics are easily offended by nudity (just learned this one )
  2. Well, we will save a chair for you only if you bring TIM TAMS.. They'll all melt Not if you eat them fast enough
  3. They come in handy for other reasons too. Psst... She outed herself. I meant flashlights (nice maglights......)
  4. They come in handy for other reasons too.

  14. Glad all is well with you Squeak. Sorry about your friend though. I hope that he's watched over carefully and that all goes well. -You've had a bad year of friends doing bad things near the ground.
  15. Susanna(h) North Martin - dinner with a hanged witch, THAT would be cool William Shakespeare - entertaining, witty and would answer the question of if he truly did write all the works of W. Shakespeare. Deadpool - ok... if we can time travel, then I can include fictitious comic book characters. Ben Franklin - That is one smart and motivated man Lone Gunman - yes, another fictitious character
  16. Ma'am, I only met your son once in person. He was a GREAT man, in many ways. I just wanted to reply to this post. I can not begin to imagine your pain. The loss of a child, any child, not just such a wonderful one as you had, is TRAGIC. It is a very painful loss that no one can make better. You remember holding him as a baby, you remember calming him as he cried, you remember seeing his pride and adventures.... And now it's all memories. This is something that you won't "get over." You might heal and move on... but the hollow will always be there. Just know that you did a wonderful job raising a fine gentleman and a joyous person. He truly enjoyed the life that you gave to him. Karen
  17. Happy equinox. SPRING!
  18. reply #1 - How do you think we know how to diagnose chlamydia? The taste is very distinctive. reply #2 - Ask TrophyHusband about it. His wife just passed. Hopefully he got to help her with the studying - although I don't know who's tongue would be more tired. (Real answer - it's actually a process where you collect the information on all the procedures that you did that past year; deliveries, surgeries, consults, clinic stuffs... and then a panel of 6 other docs review it to ensure that you know what you're doing and that you're not really messing up. Most pass, but it's rather stressful to have sit in front of them as they ask you anything about your caselist.)
  19. I would love to visit down there. But... more Oct/Nov timeframe (Dec and Jan I will be taking my oral boards for OB/Gyn... so it might be nice to have a week escape before the storm)
  20. It's hard to miss the cyclist though, when they stop traffic and get into verbal confontrations with the motorists.
  21. I was told, about 7-10 years ago, by a very dear friend that he would never have wanted to have me as a girlfriend. As close as we are, and as much as he cares about me as a person, he told me that I was just too independent. He wanted/needed someone that he could feel that he "took care of". . . .
