Nope. Not going to tell you to "break a leg" cuz it sucks! You don't want to do that. But... I will tell you to have fun. to relax. to play and enjoy sharing your music with others.

I personally do not have a lot of respect for "trophy hunts." That being said, I have several friends who have gone and hunted "on safari" in Africa. And at "the shop" (Badger Ordnance and GA Precision business) there are several displays... Some local, some from Texas, some from Africa. I find them saddening. (and consider that conference area to be a "hall of death") I would LOVE to visit Africa and see those animals in their natural settings... now they are just dead and on the wall, nothing majestic about that. But what I find truly distasteful is predator game hunting - big cat trophies or wolf displays. Those are the creatures that we NEED out there to keep the other populations naturally controlled... when we kill all of them, then there are more "needs" for annual cullings. I don't want to sound too hypocritical though. I have hunted in the past. I grew up in Wisconsin. EVERYBODY hunts at deer season. Venison is very good. But I justify that to myself with the belief that the poor beasts death was for reason - 1. the cost per pound (considering the deer tag and the processing cost) helped our family budget (which was limited). 2. These were "hunts" with tracking and waiting and tracking and.... not staged sets or baited. 3. These were natural herds (not intentionally "farmed") that got out of control by eating the corn that my Grandfather and other local farmers were trying to grow. 4. Their deaths weren't glorified by placing their corpses on the wall. When hunters lose respect for the animals, that's when hunting becomes tragic.

Giving a baby up for adoption is a VERY difficult process. In many ways. Emotionally.... this is a horrid decision to have to make. Even if she "didn't want" the baby... she has still carried this baby for about 9 mos, felt him/her moving, thought about the "what if" regarding keeping it and the future. This is something that she has been reconsidering for weeks.... But then she decides "Nope, can't keep this lil one" There are different adoption agencies with excellent case workers to help the process, but what if you only have an 8th grade reading level... all the papers that the case worker's putting in front of her? And now what if she's trying to hide this fact from her parents (which gets HARDER and HARDER to do) This also would show the level of social support that she might have. And if she broke up with the father of the baby (or what if it was abuse/rape) .... and now has to get back in contact with him and deal with that whole situation?! Putting the baby up for adoption is a VERY difficult task.

First get the average velocity (assuming constant acceleration) v avg = 1/2 (v0+v) 30 = 1/2 (0 + 60) 30mph average velocity (which is 0.0083 miles/sec or 14.6 yards/sec) Then displaced area would be: change in x = v avg *t 0.048miles = 0.0083m/sec * 5.8sec or 84.68yards = 0.048 yards/sec * 5.8sec In 32yrds (this one makes me wish I remember my calculus better) assuming a constant acceleration: That would be only 2.6sec of acceleration. (84/32yds = 2.625) velocity = acceleration * time acceleration = 60mph/5.8sec => 0.00287miles/sec2 (5.0yards/sec2) velocity = 0.00287miles/sec2 * 2.6sec => 0.00746miles/sec => 26.8mph (disclaimer - do not get medical information or math help from the internet )

I just dreamt that a shark bit my leg off! I hope that's not a premonition. I'm going to the Bahamas in a few days

Hey.... what's wrong with lunatics? -
Just wish for a lady in the nursing home in your future with soft hands....and parkinsons. Is that why women prefer old gynecologists....because their hands shake? -ok. I really don't know how to respond to that.

Ya know.... I did my residency at KU and never would have guessed that our team would make it to be the National Champions. (but while I was doing my residency, I was a bit more interested in things other than sports.... like surviving residency)

I have been reading The Red Queen. Sex and the Evolution of Human Nature by Matt Ridley. Basically it is a naughty book about sex but with lots of big words about the whys. It mentions that the main purpose of sex is for reproduction and that we (our mind) is conditioned to pick a mate that would be best for that purpose (best fertility and best genes to pair with). But... that got me to thinking.... the ones that do a lot of the fucking might have the best fertility... but probably aren't the genes that you want paired with your for all time. So... tell. Would you rather sleep with the girl that is the SURE lay... but will land you on Springer? Or are you more genetically selective even if it means it might take more work?

I'm a sucker for the military haircut. I love the bristly feel under my fingers!!

For bad pain, I prefer oxycodone. Hydrocodone just doesn't quite measure up. But everyone is different and what is GREAT for some might not do squat for others. On either though.... yeah.... thinking doesn't really work

Happy Birthday! May this year be filled with wonder and adventure (and hopefully not only in Speakers Corner)

Well since you were giving her advice I didn't want her to get confused. Maybe you two can start your own bowling league. Gail, hope you heal quickly. Nah... Rugby sounds like more fun. But I've never played it. So... quick lessons would be nice.

But do not forget to FLARE!!! Gail doesn't forget to flare... you're confusing the women

I LOVE my Elsinore sweatshirt. I wear it almost every night. It's warm and fuzzy and the logo makes me happy. I enjoy wearing my GoFast t-shirt (Slogan - You'll be fine as long as you don't do anything stupid) cuz... well... I have done things that are stupid and I just find it amusing. And, as far as marketing, I like getting cute lil t shirts for my niece and nephew cuz... it kinda annoys my sisters to make them think that their children might jump one day. (I am a wicked Aunt )

thank you for the uplifting post... a police report was made, still going on, i thought it was clear, but apparently it wasn't. Insurance will prob. go up, but they are covering it.... accidents happen. I wasn't under any influence, I was at work just trying to cross the road, thinking another car was turning and it was all good. I've learned not to trust a car with their blinker and I should have waited. The police even said, accidents happen. Gail. IGNORE THE TROLLS I tried to shut some of them up, but it seems that some people can't understand the difference between a "vibes thread" and an incident post or even worse yet a speaker corner thread and in that lack of understanding decides that you need to know exactly how wrong you are?! Ignore it. Or better yet... Go play rugby. Go one handed wake boarding. BE GAIL!!

In 7th or 8th grade, I helped a girl (one of the popular ones... you know, that everyone tries to be friends with) during a computer exam. We got caught. I actually was chastised more by Sr. Luicille Marie than she was. SHE copied MY work... I knew the stuff! Why did I get more of the lecture! Anyway... that girl went on to be a computer engineer.
