How do you kill a tapeworm? 1. Shove banana up your ass. 2. Five minutes later, shove a chocolate chip cookie up your ass. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 daily for a week. 4. On day 8, shove a banana up your ass, but do not follow with chocolate chip cookie. Have scissors ready. 5. When tapeworm sticks his head out and says, "Where's my chocolate chip cookie," cut off his head. Might be the nexium... but not finding a lot of info on that. Possible side effects with NEXIUM include headache, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. source SIDE EFFECTS: Esomeprazole, like other PPIs, is well-tolerated. The most common side effects are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headaches, rash and dizziness. Nervousness, abnormal heartbeat, muscle pain, weakness, leg cramps and water retention occur infrequently. source

The results of your quiz indicate that you are 69% retarded! You are often found to be idiotic and more than a little weird. People are friendly towards you either because they think you're a good person to make fun of, or because they feel bad for you. You're a clutz and often hurt yourself by accident. edit to add: it's more of a skydiver type quiz. Who ISN'T distracted by shiny things and who HASN'T tripped on the air....

I actually thought about him yesterday....

Happy Birthday.

Jolly well then!! Cheerios. Chips chips. And all that slang that you'ses use.

I wasn't doing it right anyway. If you look at my post (which I should edit just so I don't look QUITE as foolish), I was stomping while arguing FOR the use of unauthorized abbreviations.
-
Team Green Bay? (why not just say Packers?) Team Gold Bond? -I'm going to stomp and argue for use of unauthorized abbreviations. Honestly though! I thought it was a wonderful competition, not too much drama (some, enough to keep the tabloids happy, I'm sure). I hope all the competitors were happy with their performance and enjoyed the experience regardless of the color or metal content of the metal.

You're right. THE GOVERNMENT shouldn't have a hypocritical stance. But an individual that didn't personally murder or even want to support a war, should be able to voice his opinion. I don't think it was being used to "defend" American actions... instead I'm just saying that hiding behind the "but we're not AS BAD" excuse doesn't hold water.
-
Yup. Actually did know that, been there and thought it was a very cool landmark. (but lets not forget that the cannucks burnt down the White House - ok, maybe technically it was the Brits, but it was the War of 1812 which was supposed to be our battle with Canada... silly Europeans wanted to jump across the pond and play too. Wait, aren't we now getting back to the same discussion as above?) So, back to his statements

WOW! I don't know what else to say.

No. It's not very serious at all, thats the point. Here is something that is much more serious; traveling across to the other side of the world to invade two countries, murder several hundred thousands people and create millions of refugees... oops I mean EXPORT FREE DEMOCRACY AROUND THE WORLD AND END EVIL DICTATORSHIPS. I might be misunderstanding what you're implying here. Are you saying that if America had kept her battles close to home, say invaded Mexico or Canada, then that would be better? That argument really doesn't make sense.

FINALLY.. THE solution for illiterate SC posters

Seriously? That's your argument? -
My husband and I were dating for 8 years (high school, college and preparing to enter the military). I was going to be stationed in South Dakota. We were "just dating" then and I was told when I moved out there that as a single female - the odds were good (but the goods were odd). I told him that if I moved out there alone and single, that I was moving out there ALONE and SINGLE. We became engaged when he left South Dakota to drive back to Wisconsin. Probably a power play on both parts... but that was almost 15 yrs ago. Right or wrong... it's been a fun ride

QFT. But, I understand how you might feel that you don't want to keep calling with question after question (1st call - can I take off the dressing. 2nd call - can I shower. 3rd call - can I use soap. 4th call - which soap should I use. 5th call....). Looking here online won't get you the detailed answers that you want, we don't know what the surgeon actually did, what suture is used (silk, vicryl, chromic) or even if the prep that was used is one that comes off easily with soap (betadine does, duraprep doesn't) Best advice would be to kick back and limit your activities until you see him in a few days. Let some cute chicha help clean you up.

That's EXACTLY what I thought while watching it. (I didn't pay for it... well, except with my time ) I have to agree though. It was amusingly unentertaining. (meaning it was so bad, that it became amusing to see how bad it would get)

We were talking about speaking the language in another country. And you implied that those who don't know the language "deserve" to be treated poorly. I disagree on a personal level. Have I felt disappointment in friends that were GI's and were stationed overseas and didn't know the language? Yes. But I don't think they deserve to be treated any worse than the travelers over here that don't speak English. And I do not (or try not to) treat travelers over here poorly.... unless they become arrogant and demanding. Not that I am wishing you poorly, cuz I hope that you won't have to need it, but HAVE you researched what you need to do if you become sick or injured? French Healthcare basics An entitled attitude and not speaking language will REALLY endear you to the locals.
-
Hmmm.... sounds like a similar argument that we had. Except then you were arguing the other side of the coin. If someone speaks to me in a language that I don't understand (or even one that I do, but I am not obligated), I don't automatically treat them poorly. Especially if she is pregnant, scared, in pain.... French, Spanish, English.... all deserve the same respect as a person.

In South Dakota they had a rather large maze that they change every few weeks. Friday nights, you get to do it in the dark with flashlights! (last night I just bought Jum Hensons Fantasy Collection. I love Labyrinth and Dark Crystal. I have never seen MirrorMask.)

Are you referring to brain death? Cessation of respiration/circulation? All three? If the lack of a pulse, breathing, and brain function qualifies as death, than wouldn't it take the combination of all three to constitute life? Blues, Dave Or what about death of the "soul"? Like those old married couples where one dies... and the other passes soon there after because of the loss of the will to live? But... back on topic. I believe that it "enters" when conception occurs. But true "awareness" of that soul takes days, weeks, months, years even decades for some to achieve. And some never do.

I KNEW IT!!! STOMP STOMP STOMP

The question is though Is Russia going to receive the same level of World criticism that the US did? Or does just America get that judgment?
-
Personally, I agree with this. When I travel to foreign countries, I try to respect the people and know more than "basics" - not just "hello" and "thank you" German - I could take advanced math classes (it wasn't easy, but I could understand it) Some of the American GI's confused me for being a German (but... maybe it was just because they couldn't tell how truly bad my accent was) Spanish - I could ask appropriate medical questions for my field. And not just words pieced together - "baby move" - rather "is your baby moving" (now, I couldn't order a detailed 7 course meal... but that was never my goal) HOWEVER to say "maybe you deserved to be treated the way you were! " is a level of superior arrogance of it's own (even if followed by the "cute" icons). Part of me is arguing against your point because it is you... and well .... I will admit that your persona itself raises my ire. But, honestly, why should someone "deserve" to be treated poorly? When I get women in labor and delivery that speaks solamente españo, I give her the same respect that I do a suburban WASP. . . . as she DESERVES. Or if a Chinese female comes in - we have language lines to interpret so that she understands. You are wrong to assume that ONLY Americans go to other countries unable to speak the language. And to insinuate that those that don't speak the language deserve less is unkind.

I broke my ankle (tri-mal fracture and linear tibial fracture) on 1/1/08. Had my first ORIF on 1/2/08 and then the second on 1/17/08 . Even now... the ankle still gets a little stiff in the mornings and a little tired by night. But overall, life has gotten back into full swing. I haven't jumped on it yet, but my ortho knows that I'm planning on it (after November - waiting til then cuz I have a MAJOR hurdle to cross at that point) I have ran on it, but it wasn't "enjoyable". . . . not that running was ever "enjoyable." Swimming is completely back to "normal." Each person is different. Healing varies depending on how your body responds to the surgery done, how you followed through with your PT, how you perceive "pain" My advice - Listen to your doctor, but most importantly.... listen to your body.

I think thats fair enough, I know a few Doctors who I'd class as idiots. HEY!!! The correct term is intellectually challenged, Thank you! Honestly though Words have power. But, it's not just the words themselves - the context, the tone, the intent of the communication is important. If someone is being demeaning and insulting, that is offensive (and usually intended as such). Is someone is chatting with friends and called her a "biotch" or him a "cracker," that is more banter. LANGUAGE is more than a "bad word."
