Seems like a generalization It absolutely is. And it's quite untrue for some. But "in general", his statement holds. Why? Partly due to the fact that sex is more "mental" for many females, they have to "feel sexy" and when you're stressed, you generally don't "feel sexy." Most guys, on the other had, don't need to "feel sexy" to do it.

who would win a war between Russia vs USA if it started right now?
kbordson replied to rhys's topic in Speakers Corner
QFT. If it was a battle on US soil. WOLVERINES!!!! ALL THE WAY. But we, as a country, don't do colonies or occupations well, so if we attacked on their soil, they would have an advantage. Whether it would be enough of an advantage, I can't say. But... if ye were talking about Risk, then Russia/Asia wins cuz you get the most reinforcements for holding that land as compared to North America. -
Does Anyone Believe I Should Not Be Allowed To Own Firearms?
kbordson replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
Can you guarantee 100% that your gun is not going to be misused? I don´t mean misused by you, i mean misused by your family, by your teenage kids, by a relative that happens to come for a visit. Can you guarantee that you will never ever loose your gun or it will never be stolen? How much can you bet on it, economical responsability? criminial responsability if indeed your gun is misused by someone? I don´t care wether you have guns or not, i am just happy there is an ocean between my people and whoever has the chance to misuse your gun. Can you guarantee 100% that if someone steals your money that he/she won't use it to buy an illegal gun? If you can't, should you not have any money? -

HEy, I think those that are the self proclaimed definers of what "normal" should be are the scary ones!!! HEY! I'm "normal" (I don't "define" it though... I just state it as fact) -
The term was flame thrower.....

Note: Do NOT use a shop vac for siphoning gas. I know someone that tried that... didn't work so well.

Thank you for your insight on other lifestyles and cultures. It is too easy to only view the situation through our perspectives and make judgments when we honestly don't understand the situation there. Unfortunately, we tend to get most of our information on life in other countries from news and the media (and as we know, those are not always accurate or without their own agendas) Hearing opinions of those that HAVE been there is helpful.

There is that side of the argument against stem cell research... but that is what makes pluripotent adult stem cells so fascinating. No harm to "babies" of any age. Possible "cures" for significant medical issues. -
If you were her, you could have that choice. But judging her on the choice that she makes is inappropriate. She did "fight that cancer." She had two lumpectomies. She had the genetic testing and was found to be positive for BRCA1. She was likely counselled on her options. She took the knowledge that was given to her by her physicians and applied that to her frame of view for her life (her mothers battle with breast cancer, her personal fears, her values and goals) It was her choice. But... regardless of which choice is made, there are NO guarantees. And you might be right, this surgery MIGHT do her no benefit in the battle against her cancer.... we don't KNOW. But, studies show there might be benefit. Additionally, the psychological benefit might be worth the pain and loss of her breasts. Only she can decide that.

Happy Birthday!!! I hope you had a WONDERFUL day!!! (and the story with your friendly wake up was adorable!)

That's what is important.

OH COME ON!!! SNOPES for an Onion article?! WTF! It's the Onion... OF COURSE it's NOT real! The SNOPES page shoulda just said "It's the Onion." and left it at that.

With the BRCA mutation though she honestly has even more to think about.....She will likely be making a decision on an oopherectomy once the breast issue is done. There are several reasons for that: 1. Association between breast cancer and ovarian cancers 2. If hers is an estrogen driven cancer, removing the ovaries help with preventing recurrance. So not only will she be considering having the external symbol of "womanliness" removed, but the internal ones as well. It's a tough situation and I admire the strength of character of all that have to make that decision.

I know that I am.

AND the hot spring would be good for relaxing after a hard day at the copper smelter. ok... that brings up another aspect Body type: Athletic of course Female with "breeding hips" (cuz c-sections won't be easy to do there) BMI. Shouldn't really do the thin and petite that would look good in a bikini. But not obese. "Healthy" but maybe a touch "overweight" to be able to accommodate missing a meal or two.

Agreed.
