Well Doc... you like others on here just go right ahead and use whatever terms you want to... but the rest of us who find it offensive.. will just have a further accurate picture of how you really feel about people who are not like you and your fellow travellers. So... let me get that straight. But using an example of someone violating the First Amendment rights, you are insinuating that I am racist? or bigoted? or whatever else you already think in a prejudiced type fashion?

Hottie?! maybe for a Mt. Horeb troll!! (Shalala??!! hottie?!!!) But... the point is that attacks on the Freedom of Speech aren't new or just with the current administration. But... with respect to THIS case.... I can see both arguments. But even if the professor feels "justified" in examining the student ("warning signs" or what ever you chose to call it)... it is still a violation of rights. An assumption that just because he gave a speech about guns (which we don't really even know the full text of that speech or the tone) and then was questioned as if he had done something wrong... rather guilty until proven innocent, if you ask me.

Thought police have been around for a while. Donna Shalala served as Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Under her chancellorship and with her support, the University adopted a broad speech code subjecting students to disciplinary action for communications that were perceived as hate speech. That speech code was later found unconstitutional by a federal judge.[2] Also while chancellor, Shalala supported passage of a revised faculty speech code broadly restricting "harmful" speech in both "noninstructional" and "instructional" settings. The faculty speech code was abolished ten years later, after a number of professors were investigated for alleged or suspected violations.[3] And... with that record of violation of the First Amendment, she served for eight years as Secretary of Health and Human Services under President Clinton. AND She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor, by President George W. Bush in June 2008. So BOTH the Democratic side and the Republican side of the presidency seem to be able to bypass violation of rights. You have the right to remain silent.... well .... until they tell you to talk.

Is the DMV in Your Town/County/State Run Efficiently

It is a Missouri DMV in North Kansas City. I was trying to do the street view picture of the Petco itself, but for some reason that link does pull up a completely different location and I can't isolate the link to the street view image. But... no, it was a Missouri DMV for Missouri registration. -

Let me correct that for you: I had a hard time in the local DMV here in Missouri (as noted by the link above) and the local DMV when I lived in Wisconsin - at least now we're back to talking about the DMV -

Sorry, I don't want to give you any more information, as per your request. And that comment still has nothing to do with the DMV -

OK. Real quick. Let me sum this up again. Post 14, I linked to a thread that I started over two years ago about the experiences that I had at the local DMV. Post 15 you blamed it on the fact that I was in a Red state. (note in post 18, someone in California complains about the DMV too) Post 19, I say it was bad in Wisconsin too Post 20, You argued ... it's not a blue state Post 22, I linked to a map showing that it is a blue state. Post 25, you argued it's not REALLY a blue state. I summed this up in post 28 (Post 29, someone in Virginia said it kinda depends) Marg tries to bring it back on course. Post 34, JesusLand is brought up (and I have NO idea what that still has to do with the DMV) Post 42 you provide a link to JesusLand which even shows that Wisconsin is blue. Then it all broke down from there. My initial post was NOT about JesusLand, nor about "scary black men", nor about health care. and you think I'm living in a fantasy? -

Do you even realize how many people give a rats ass???? But why take the time to participate in these discussions if: 1. you don't give a rat's ass 2. you just give meaningless misinformation -

Last I checked..... you are NOT living in Wisconsin but south of there in Jesusland Look at post 20 and post 25 where you were arguing that Wisconsin isn't blue. You were talking about when YOU lived there..years ago... Uh.. other than Milwaukee and Madison( most of the population of the state.. most of Wisconsin is pretty red state....state of mind. And I told you. - It's been blue since I started driving. Now, you want to continue bickering about irrelevant topics or just admit that you are wrong on this. No red or blue. No JesusLand. No scary black man issues No healthcare topics. MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THE DMV (AS LINKED TO FROM A POST OVER TWO YEARS AGO) HAS SUCKED. -

hmmmmm. even in her map of JesusLand, Wisconsin is blue. Interesting. -I'm thinking that the "misinformation" is coming from somewhere else. -

Well. You're just not making sense here and I'm trying to make excuses for your inability to comprehend that my post linked to experiences from HOW MANY YEARS AGO so how could that be any way tied to "scary black men" or "JesusLand"? You just keep tryin to spin this, m'kay? -

ok, do you UNDERSTAND that my link was from over 2 years ago? Well before the Obama election. Well before this health care discussion. and you still haven't explained the "JesusLand." What ever you're smoking... I just hope it's either legal or soon to be taxed. Try again. m'kay. -

I just always get a kick about those of you who live in JesusLand.. when all you can do is complain about your government... yet you continue to elect the same HACKS to office over and over... It must be some deranged form of conservative masochism to keep doing the same things over and over.. and expecting a different outcome. You are talking about state systems..as opposed to federal systems.... its just another back door conservative comparison of"government" handling of services and their fear of what they see now.. and what the scary black man is going to CHANGE in their lives......and the bottom line is as always on here... comparing watermelons to grapes. Seriously! What the fuck are you talking about? Jesusland? Scary black man? What does that have to do with my link to my DMV experience over two years ago?! Our DMV is in the back section of a Petco and seems to be staffed by those that have no desire to do anything other than take breaks and provide misinformation. Explain what that has to do with JesusLand?! -

So. Let me get this straight. I said Missouri sucks. You said something about being in a "Red state" I point out it sucked in a "Blue state" You then claim that .... well.... it's not "really" a blue state cuz it doesn't work for your argument. Do I have that correct now? My main point is that MY experience with the DMV has sucked. Regardless of it being in a red, blue, pink, plaid or black state. You could also point out that being in a state with the letter "i" in it is the reason for the problem. Or those states that have "M" or "W"'s Lots of things to point fingers at and blame. And if it reinforces your belief that everything is sunshine and bunny rabbits and rainbows where you live cuz you get to be smarter and brighter and more wonderful being a Liberal..... go for it. Doesn't make it true. -
Now, imagine if you had to deal with CIGNA with absolutely NO chance of changing. Because even though you claim that you had "zero say" - obviously someone in the company did have influence to change it. But if it's all government provided. That's it. Hope and pray that it is what you want. Cuz I'm scared it won't be.

Hmmm I seem to remember Wisconsin as being full of GOP...like Tommy Thompson... running things.. Maybe they should just turn their government over to faith based groups too. Its the Red State thing to do... or at least a whole lot of radical righties seem to want that. This might help your memory. Sucks getting old. It be a bit more ingenuous to note Wisconsin's voting preferences from when you lived in Wisconsin. Did you live in Wisconsin in 2008? It's been blue ever since I've been driving. source -

Wow.. it certainly is tragic that the Red States are run so poorly. I guess the DMV there should be turned over to faith based organizations so it can be run much better. Sorry. But when I lived in Wisconsin, it was just as bad. Try again. Hmmm I seem to remember Wisconsin as being full of GOP...like Tommy Thompson... running things..
