  1. That video is WONDERFUL.....
  2. Thank you. I just wanted to hear from someone that it has happened to others (cuz everybody I ask here in KC is rather naive on tattoo incidents) and that it can be fixed
  3. Quick question for the one or two peoples out there that might also have ink. Have any of you had the tattoos blister and then ulcer where the ink is/was? I have a tattoo on my ankle. I was getting IPL hair removal to my legs and the silly cow hit my tattoo with the light. For two days it burned and stung. Then it seemed to get better. Then after a week, it started blistering. Tried to be good, didn't pop it, kept it lotioned and it seemed to get better. Then last night (four weeks after the initial injury) the top layer of one of the skydivers bodies came off and the lil ulcer it left (although kinda interesting in a 3D sort of way) is a bit concerning. Just wondering if anybody had any such events and after it all healed if you were able to re-ink it successfully. and before anyone tells me to go to a doctor...... DUH!
  4. I started jumping at 30. I graduated med school when I was 30. Life really started being KICK ASS once I hit 30. You're not old. ENJOY IT!!!
  5. Good luck with finals. (in some ways, I am SO glad to be done with school and all that cramming and studying...... ummm.... wait, I have boards next year.... so I guess I'm not "done") But.... YOU'LL DO GREAT!
  6. Hugs!! And if you're having hot flashes, BONUS! (it's frickin cold here!!!!)
  7. I don't have a slick leather jumpsuit.... but I do have some leather garments that I wore at Sturgis
  8. Mass is, in theory, an unchanging property of an object, but.... at speeds approaching the speed of light one must consider the increase in the relativistic mass. So... considering your prior question.... how fast is this carbon moving?
  9. Now... just cuz I can back up my words with force doesn't mean that the words atill aren't valid. .... and hopefully he wont have to tell me about my limited intellect....
  10. You wouldn't believe how many times I have heard that.... And trying to explain action and effect doesn't work because "You just don't understand."
  11. Great job! And for a truly worthy future! Thank you for the effort and compassion!
  12. I dream almost every night. Most dreams are really cool. The kind that I don't really want to wake up from . . . . other times I wake up more tired than when I went to sleep from all the running and adventure in the dream. Then occasionally I have the really scary dreams that are so realistic that I wake up and wonder how true they may have been. Most of the time I LOVE my dreams.... but sometimes I just want to sleep!
  13. What about those that play on both sides?
  14. So... what is your topic? Guns? Politics? (and not just parties - that's bonfire stuffs) Religion? Social responsibility (like donating to a skating rink?) Ya gots to pick a topic.... or someone might point out that your IQ is less than 150
  15. Per Mart (I couldn't get him to sign on and type this himself.... but this is per his knowledge) Cryogenically treating bbls is modern day snake oil. Does not enhance accuracy in any way. No prove to show it is good, and there is one test by one of the ballistitians, Kevin Thomas of Sierra Bullets, printed in the September, 1998 issue of Precision Rifle that shows that is actually NOT helpful What is your opinion of the deep cryogenic processing of barrels? (not the percision rifle article, but I can't seem to find it online) Alloy question: Most barrels in the US are either 4140 carbon steel or 416R stainless steel. Other recommendations to check the barrel Shoot 10 shots fast, don't worry about accuracy. Just get the shots downrange. Then wait one min. After that, get behind the sights and shoot for score. Eval the pattern and see if it produces the same as noted in the first post. If yes, then possibly barrel related. (and if you need to replace that, Mart would recommend Gene Barnet or Kreigers) Think about the bedding. M14's are not the most accurate due to relying on stock tension for accuracy. It would be nice to know if your bbl is bedded, how old is the bedding. And from me.... having shot 1000 with the 14's and 16's, I would GLADLY lie behind the 16 ALL DAY LONG. The 14's (even with a good coat) would beat me black and blue. But it's been probably 10-15yrs since I shot service rifle competitively.
  16. You will have a GREAT time!!!
  17. That's how I remember it. But I was probably about 13ish or so when I did it.

  20. I hope your daughter is already 30 and has her own live. Because if not, I'm sure a talk like this from mom to child gives a realy good feeling to her... If you die, it should be non of your business what someone does with your dead body. It is not your body anymore. You should have no more rights to demand anything because you are out of the game. Your beloved should have the right to deside what to to with your body and how to deal with your death. During your live time you can deside to do what you want. In my opinion, you can be an egositic person during life and even jump of fixed objects like myself. But when you die doing this you are disculfied from live and you loose every right in the world of the living imidiatly. This is only my opinion of corse. I have to respectfully DISAGREE. You're saying that if someone has religious beliefs such as donation of organs being a desecration of the body, that they have NO rights to mandate what happens to them after they are dead! If that's is a "no" then where does your point start. You can quibble about the mark all day long, but ultimately, it's still my body... even if I'm not in it anymore. My wishes are still important. edit to correct spelling
  21. I don't. I want all useable organs/tissue donated. Remains then creamated. A portion to be place on an existing gravesite, the rest.... hell, I don't care. I don't know that I need an ash dive or anything like that. Maybe just scatter them somewhere nice (and with the ashes of my kitties). I would like a tree planted somewhere for me though. Or a shrub (not too big or expensive.... Roger the Shrubber should be able to arrange, design, and sell one) Maybe something nice planted next to my brother and sister in Wisconsin. It's a Catholic gravesite though... so I don't know if the ashes can be scattered there... or if they will burst into little flames. (would be kinda fun to watch that though... like sprinkling little fire crackers)
