  3. Yeah!! Take care of that lil mouse ok? Don't scare him too much. Timid lil thing that he might be. Jus be nice. Seriously though. Hope you enjoy your trip, Squeak.
  4. So... last week before the Holiday. How many cards are you sending out?
  5. Useless without pictures.... um... I did post pics. But... since they weren't what/who some may have wanted to see, I'll just go to the bedroom and make someone cry.
  6. Thank you for posting that, Mike. To all those separated from family during this season.... May you feel their love and support even from a distance.
  7. I think she's referring to the date listed (ie "10/15-16" and not "12/15-16")
  8. Hunting has become necessary in New Zealand due to the overpopulation . . . . Handgunds have their place in the police force etc. but should not be as readily available to the general public IMHO. This is all I am saying. OK... so which rifles? I'm assuming that your think "assault rifles" are evil so only bolt firearms? But... a Rem model 700 in the right hands can do far more damage than an AK held by someone that doesn't have a clue. So we agree.... the problem is the criminal intent (mentality) of those that use them for "violent" purposes. But... yet we don't agree.... cuz although I don't think it's "fine to have lying around," I also feel that the PROBLEM is the criminal intent. The guns lying there UNANIMATED aren't the problem. The don't jump up and shoot themselves. They have to be USED by someone. But... sometimes it's easier to fear an object. Actually there are cartoons about firearms safety. Eddie the Eagle In some cultures (if you can try to open your mind) 13 and 14year olds do go shopping for guns with their parents... typically right before Thanksgiving prior to Deer Season. I always used my fathers when I went hunting... but that might be hard to comprehend too.
  9. This one I will answer "yes" cuz it's more of a logic and understanding thing, not a possible finding different types of triangles thing.
  10. fixed it But.... wasn't this thread about aviation? Global issues of pollution?
  11. She looks beautiful. I'm glad everything went smoothly. Enjoy this new gift.

    You know the difference between a woman giving directions and a Garmin? You can turn the Garmin off. Trust me... not listing to the directions will turn us off too.
  13. so the little targets don't have little pictures of little men carrying little guns so you can see if you shot them in the head or not?? Hey.... These are official handgun targets. No pictures of little men, some animals, but mostly little rings. Try using those. So... let me understand here. Rifles are ok. But it's only handguns that are violent? Is that what the above statement means. I'm just trying to see where your line is.
  14. I voted "no." Not because I'm un educated on geology, but rather because we haven't been to all parts of the Earth, much less other planets. I don't KNOW that 25-50yrs from now, we won't look back and find that we were wrong. Our knowledge today is limited (and I say this carefully knowing that someone else got banned recently for refering to limited intellect) But knowing and admitting what I don't know is one way that I try to better understand what I do know.
  15. Pollution impacts the world population. Firearms are generally more singular in their effect. As a Non American - you opinion on things that directly affect you would have more weight than your thoughts on something that in NO WAY affects any day of your life. You don't live in our rules, you don't try to understand our topics.... your opinion on this holds no merit. I like how you states "your opinion" as absolutes. What you really mean is "Handguns are stupid and pointless to me." and "Shooting guns does not bring me joy" But... yet your phrasing assumes that your opinions of stupid and joy are universal. And those that dont share your views are "violent" Firearms are actually facinating in their mechanics. This lever and then this spring activation. Then the forces inside the chamber resulting in the expulsion of the bullet. Several of my firearms are actually cut-aways revealing the details of the actions (and my favorite is a double sized M1 Carbine with cut away detail). But besides the device, the act of shooting is enjoyable too. The thought required to take the shot, taking powder characteristics into consideration. Reading the wind. Breathing control. Locking into a good and stable position. Shooter fatigue. It truly is a challenge to try to get a good score in a compitition. You have no desire to even try to try to understand the shooters mentality.... except to consider us all to be "seppo Americans" and take an arrogant attitude about how less violent and thus, better, you are. edit cuz I wasn't done ..... the term that is typically used in this situation is "giving both barrels"
  16. From Mart - do that test to check on the thermal sensitivity (10 rounds at 1per sec rate, then shoot for score) - and for the record- you shouldn't freefloat M14 barrels.
  17. Send me a PM if you'd like. OK..... but the real question is WILL YOU REPLY!
  18. Can I spoil this yet with questions about the plot?
  19. HEY! Once you're done hugging everybody - answer your pm! {Hug}
