I think even a caveman would instantly see the advantages of being able to go from point A to point B quickly. The caveman -might- have a bit of difficulty understanding the function of the WHEELS initially, but even then he'd probably quickly figure out how they are physically advantageous. Contrast that with how UFOs are typically depicted. But... better analogy, would the cavemen understand the rims and the pimped out version. Maybe that's what the lights and spinning are. Aliens are just kickin it and stylin.

well.... I tried. Kinda... maybe (but... its not like it was a giant mystery)

SPOILER ALERT I liked the role reversal at the end!!

I would be most likely to resort to violence if others dear to my heart (especially children) are threatened. But, if I feel cornered or backed to a corner and threatened, I will bear claws and stand tall. Otherwise, I prefer to avoid conflict. Everybody should just be nice....

Is she in your study group? Is she in a study group? One of the biggest supports that I had through medical school was "my group." Family and friends can't really understand how much pressure there is to learn it ALL (it truly is like drinking from a fire hydrant) Tanja, Jeff, Patrick, James and I pulled each other through. We not only studied together, but as a group, we learned. Cuz although you do need to be able to pass all the test, you understand that you don't have to know it ALL. One other thing to get her to chat with her doctor about (and I STRESS that she needs to talk with her dr, not just self rx).... beta blockers. Especially with practical exams.

WHAT? Are you pregnant again!!!!! Hey everybody, she's having another baby Actually had two last night... and looks like two more on the way.

So you codone Chinas' policy of whacking kids (unborn) to have a male child. Hey. 2 kids per two parents. The parents die the kids carry on. Hopefully. I had 4. I died. The eldest daughter is a total fuckup. Ya never know. They may turn out to be the next Einstien or a Bill gates. I'm hoping for the best. Did you see where I stated that that system isn't perfect? I am personally on of 6 with 3 surviving. I was number 5, and wouldn't have been too happy if the government had told my parents to stop at 1 or 2. But, I also realize that had all 6 of us survived.... it would have been a lot of feet on the soil, a lot of food, a lot of demands. But... I also said that some people do have the ability to care for that many, to teach them to respect the Earth and to become "productive members of society." (I wonder if you read my post at all or if you just trying to start a pissing contest) I have not had any of my own, but I did RAISE (not rear... I don't think that word is appropriate) one son since he was two (he is now almost 23).

How the hell did you get trush at the in-laws? Typically it is a reflection of the immune system (HIV, diabetes ect), but can occur in healthy individuals. Candidia is actually a natural yeast in some individuals but when it overpopulates, then it causes trouble. I'm surprised they didn't give you any Nystatin swish and swallow. That would make it feel better quicker (but it might not actually taste good)

Can I be the poster child for birth control? or if I talk about birth control does that make me type 4?
-
It depends on your definition of "selfish" and whether you are "excessively burdening" others with your decision to have children. If you have 7and 8 and 9 children and on welfare and have no desire to actually RAISE those children to be productive members of society. . . . then I believe that that is inappropriate. But..... some people can "support" that many children. (finanically, educationally, emotionally). Do they then unnecessarily burden the planet? Perhaps, but we (as a global community) are not able to come to the "only 1 child per person" belief system. (I am impressed that China could, but even that system isn't perfect - because then you have to be very selective with which child you have: male/female, developmental disabilities, physical abnormalities) So... I was the first that answered "yes"

That would be WONDERFUL! I so hope it really does happen.

Glad the surgery went well and really glad that he has a brother like you to help him with the healthier lifestyle - really encourage him to keep those blood sugars down (my dad didn't and had some SERIOUS complications because of it... Diabetes is bad)

Nope. I'm a skilled manipulator. (I did go to an allopathic residency though) And just cuz I've seen a bezor before doesn't mean it's still not yuckie!!

Well... hopefully this debate will now be unnecessary. Although they did use fetal cells (YES - Fetal cells as argued against in a previous post) and newborn skin cells (foreskin) in addition to the adult cells- so still some controversy.

Here are some choices. I ALWAYS recommend The Princess Bride.

So what bizarre Thanksgiving rituals caused that??? Sitting at home, watching quality entertainment like A Christmas Story and then there was a slight breach of etiquette by skipping the triple dare and going right for the triple-dog-dare to put his tongue on the flagpole. But... hey, at least he didn't post the pink bunny costume or put his eye out.

Oh, come on... don't tell me that you don't (even gingerly) lightly palpate the area around it, feeling the the firm squishiness of the subcutaneous blood. Not at all?

I agree that sometimes there might be some posts where you truly wonder if this is the right forum to look for information, but it might be a place to start looking. Maybe someone might be able to help with a website or there might be some specialized knowledge here that might help. For example - pregnancy and skydiving. IF you ask your ob/gyn, the answer will be be "don't do it." Plain and simple. But with no understanding on the whys or the real complications... just "don't do it." By asking some of the skydiving doctors that have taken in interest in those topics, you are better educated to make an informed decision on what you choose to do. And even if it might be against recommendations, at least you understand the risks better. Same theory with CP and skydiving. Personally I have a limited understanding of the restrictions with CP (that is not my speciality which is why I haven't replied earlier) but there might be someone with that knowldege on this forum. Additionally, the recommendations might change depending on his individual needs.... but if he wanted to just talk with his doctor about it... he might just get the "don't do it." response. As opposed to going in and saying - "I've done some research" (NOT citing JUST this fourm, but others ones that might have more medical info - ie www.pubmed.com) "and was wondering if...." So, is it proper to ask medical or specialized advice on this forum? I think that, understanding that you might get what you pay for, it is a place to ask if anyone knows anything about.....

I have several friends that have done "canned" hunts. Trophies up on the walls... stories of braveness and cunning I find them distasteful and sad (and canned predator hunts even moreso). There was no "hunt." As you said, those are "livestock" and not wild. I think you can enjoy the meat, but you lose big points on bragging rights.
