You know, I wouldn't support the attack at the moment because I think there is more that can be done diplomatically at this point, as a last resort, yeah go for it. One thing about Isreal is if there is anyone who faces a truly REAL threat from Muslim's it's them, they are surrounded by people who want to wipe them out, and they don't take their security lightly, don't forget the strike against the Iraqi plant years ago. The whole system is less than adequate. I'm sure that others have worse "horror" stories than I do. One recent stupefyng experience was an attempt to combine two trips on the west coast. The first was being paid by my office and the subsequent on fund cite from a service. The latter travel authority refused to approve my flying directly from Los Angeles up to San Jose then back to DC. He wanted me to fly back to DC then get on another plane (literally two hours later) & fly back out to the west coast, which in addition to wasting my time & taxpayers' dollars also would have made me late; he insisted that I had to depart from & return to my permanent duty station. The goal of my job is NOT to acquire frequent flyer miles on the taxpayers' expenseQuote I had one of those trips last summer, I was supposed to go to HALO JM, and then the day I graduated catch up with my team at Kirtland AFB, which would be two seperate TDY trips back to back, I couldn't make them one set of orders because they were different fund sites. When I left my JM orders were in the process of getting approved, and they hadn't even let me start on the Kirtland orders yet, so I was travelling without even knowing if the money would be there to reimburse me for the training. And with as much as my unit penny pinches because they waste their money on BS training it wouldn't have surprised me if I got stuck with the bill. My team has been fighting to get approval to go to AZ for 12 days to use some SWAT training facilities, it's a week of the best training we can get and we get a deal because the city of Chandler pays the training facility cost for us(we have a great inside man). Overall it's the best training we can get for such a good price and they wouldn't say yes, however they could spend over 100K to take the company to a resort with a shoothouse on it where they bring in half assed SWAT officers who have never seen combat to train us on how we should do OUR job. I've spent a total of nine years of my life here in colorado so I'm used to the cold, I grew up working as a ski instructor, in fact I wear shorts and t shirts year round. I love the cold, we got more than our share of it last year during our winter MRX, a 10K infil on skis with an 80 pound ruck and a 65 pound sled will teach you some appreciation for the snow. As many things as I hate about this place I'm gonna be sad walking away, but I have something great waiting for me in NC so I guess it can't be too bad

I'll be moving back to NC when I get home from Iraq at the end of the year, there are so many reasons I am ready for a change from Colorado. quick fix, I jsut don't pay the Gov. credit card bill with my own money they want to force me to use something that costs me money out of my own pocket they can piss off, I've written my fair share of justification letters to the batallion commander because the card wasn't paid, and my team sergeant has never let it come back to bite me in teh ass because he doesn't agree with the system either. It always gets paid in the end, when they get off their ass and send me the money to pay it. As for the voucher I just put in I am in the process of getting a letter signed allowing me to be reimbursed for more than the maximum lodging allowance because the hotel i was booked for was over the max amount allowed.
