Just to add some updates.. We will accept registrations on Friday, Saturday or Sunday at the DZ. But please be prepared to pay with cash or check. Also, when you register you are not committing to participating all the days of the event. It's cool if you can only be there one day or two days, but of course I would love to see you there for all three days. -

I would advocate drug testing for THC levels if the test could give you information as to whether the person used responsibly or not. I agree that if someone is coming high to work, they should be fired. In fact, I have tipped off a boss about a co-worker who came to work high. I don't think that sort of thing is cool at all. (Especially when packing!!) But the reality is, it doesn't matter whether you have a few tokes once a week before you go to bed or whether you're stoned 24-7, both folks will fail the drug test. And then the other problem with drug testing is that drugs like coke and meth are out of your system so quickly that drug tests aren't as useful for the hard stuff. I can remember when I was about 5 or 6 sitting in the back seat of the car with my friend while my mom was driving us to somewhere or another. My friend and I were having a discussion on the swear words that we knew. We both had brothers that were 4 years older, so we knew a lot. We had no idea that they were taboo. As we were going through the swear words that we knew, we asked my mom what they meant. She answered all of our questions, we discovered that shit was poop, a bitch was a really mean woman, an asshole was a jerk, and fuck was the word that you used when you really wanted to say something nasty. My mom did a good job answering all of our questions. She explained to us that those words weren't appropriate in certain situations. And I was allowed to swear at home, just not to other people. So as a little kid if I stubbed my toe I could say, "Fuck that hurt!"

I know some of you out there must be into gardening. We just moved into a new place that has great light and a beautiful spot for my new vegetable/herb/flower garden. I'm so proud of it! But I'm also really worried about bugs and slugs destroying it. Any of you folks have some wisdom? I would like to stay away from too many chemicals and would love to hear some organic gardening methods that have been effective. Any advice you have to give me about gardening that you may have learned the hard way would be much appreciated! And because I know that someone will ask, I'm not growing any pot. Why won't people let you pack for them? If you let people know that you're interested in learning about gear and care about doing a good job, then most folks will trust you to pack for them. Seriously, packing can be great money. If you feel like you need to put skydiving on credit cards.. you really need to find some other way to pay for it. I think that using any type of loan just to go traveling and skydiving is a big mistake. If you really must travel borrow someone's backpacking gear and go backpacking. Good cheap fun. To afford skydiving during school.. you just need to get good at packing and start packing on your 1 day off per week. If you work hard you can make 300+ dollars in a day! That should be able to pay for some skydives and some leftover to pay off the credit card. Are you really working 40 hours a week and taking out loans for things like skydiving on top of that? Make sure that wind isn't hitting your calves or shins. That part of your leg needs to remain perpendicular to the ground. (Unless you're trying to drive or something.) If you're just trying to get down to a group you can try going into a partial stand up and raise your arms a little bit to spill more air.
