No need to ask. Feel free to upload. Snot my bandwidth anymore! Dave

AHHHHH bad memories! Once had a drunk guy walk into my room at about 4 am and use my closet as a bathroom. I heard a noise, turned on the lights, and we both just looked at each other like "WHAT THE FUCK???" I know he was thinking "where the hell did that urinal go?" and I just screamed "YOU'RE PISSING IN MY CLOSET!" My roommate woke up and told me nobody was pissing and to go to bed. The sound of water trickling still gives me chills.

For the dropzone.com IRC channel, use the server irc.extremexweb.com port 6667, #dropzone. Dave

Yeah I used to have a good setup for the windows media encoder which worked pretty well. I had to reinstall it though and that was my first experiment with it. I'll work on it though. Dave

Ok, uploading to the site. /freefly/colorado.wmv. Will be available in 7 minutes. Video came out a bit choppy but its down to 6.5 megs. Dave
-
encoding to wmv now... we'll see how it comes out... Dave
-
Cool video...finally got it after 3 hours or so. Definitely something strange with the codec. my media player seemed to download one but something isnt quite right. On mine the picture is squeezed in so it's taller and narrower than it should be. But it still looks great. Dave

Wind. Got to fly at least. Dave
-
Damnit, didn't win. Now I'm just one day closer to doing laundry. Dave
-
ok, moved to /freefly/. Hope that didn't cut anyone off! If it did, sorry! Dave
-
Hey, what kinda video is it? I'll move it to an appropriate folder. 50 megs will take me a while to download though to see it myself. Dave
-
Hehe thanks for the reminder... I turn 4 on friday. Dave
-
Well, I got it on VHS, and can get the video onto the computer, but the audio quality sucks on the computer for some reason. Can't figure it out. Dave
-
thanks...gonna try to record it. no guarantees though! Dave

Congrats. I did most of my flight training not too far from there in Westfield, MA. I've flown to Orange a few times. I just love the view of the Quabin Resevoir when you approach from the south. Just wait till you combine flying and skydiving by flying yourself to the DZ and making a few jumps. Now THATS fun! By the way, I have most of my flight time in 172s, but recently I got checked out in a 152. I actually prefer the 152 unless I'm carrying more than one passenger or stuff like rigs. As soon as my flying club gets me a copy of their 152's key, I'll be doing most of my flying in it. Dave

Cessna 172. Landing/taking off with winds almost directly across the runway 15 gusting to 25 was interesting, but worked out fine. My passenger even commented that the landing was soft. I love landing on grass! Dave

It was nothing more than a technology demonstrator. Basically testing the overall shape it seems. I'm sure it didn't carry any weapons or do any role. Just testing an idea. Dave

Just uploaded a video of me getting thrown out of a CASA then followed out by 8 people for a "speed" star attempt. It's at ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/public/exits/dave_throw_speedstar.wmv (3.2 megs). The camera flyer was on the plane to film a tandem so we only got video of the exit. Dave

Yeah. I didn't fly for nearly a year and a half but I passed my biennial flight review a few weeks ago and have been flying a bunch since. Too windy to jump today, but at least I had a nice flight! Dave

October 21, 2000 was the last time I did what I'm about to do. As soon as my passenger is ready to go, I'm heading to the local airport, hopping in the plane, and flying to the dropzone for a day of skydiving. It's a 2 hour drive or a 40 minute flight. I'll choose flying any day. Ahhh, life is good. Now lets hope there's nothing wrong with the plane and the weather sticks to the prediction. Dave

Sure is! The rig comes from a picture of me wearing a student rig. Actually it's the same rig as in my new icon. Thats me under a Manta 288. No wonder my body is just a little dot. Dave
-
The press release says it was fully funded by Boeing. This isn't a new plane, it's one they're done with. Sure makes ya curious what they're keeping secret now though! Dave
-
Yeah I wasn't finished with it when I had to leave...

It's a complete fake. Here's the original. (Ok, I didn't have much time...) Dave
