If you are a confident, self assured person, being refused sex would never affect your self image regardless of how often it happened. If it did, then the problem is yours, not his. If you need sex 3 or 4 (or more) times a week to feel good about yourself I'd say you have a larger issue to deal with than whether or not your SO still loves you. __ My mighty steed

Sorry, but if my wife made demands like this, that would cause problems in the marriage. Sex and love are completely seperate issues. I love my wife dearly. We've been together for 10 years and I will spend the rest of my life with her. I'm a faithful and totally monogamous husband. I just dont want sex as much as I did 20 years ago and thats just a fact. I'm 40 years old, extremely physical in that I work out 7 days a week with weights, martial arts training, cardio, you name it. I'm in exellent health and I just dont want to get laid 3 or 4 times a week. I dont have the energy or the drive for it like I did when I was 20 years old. If we go a while without sex my wife starts to feel like I dont love her. Its unbelievably annoying because my sex drive has nothing to do with whether or not I love her. Why do women think they are related???? They are not Sex can be far more rewarding if you are in love with the person you are having sex with, but they are still seperate. Physical intimacy can stimulate emotional imtimacy, but they are still seperate things. __ My mighty steed

It happens. It doesnt necessarily mean that there is anything wrong with either of you. It doesnt mean he doesnt love you. The biggest mistake I see people making in relationships is in tying sex and love together. One is an emotional state, the other is a hormone driven physical imperitive. One can compliment the other very nicely, but they are completely unrelated to each other. Lack of interest in sex doen NOT mean that the marriage is in trouble or that he doesnt love you anymore. If you can want sex without any emotional involvement, why is it so hard to accept that you can have love without sexual interest? For all men, this drive decreases with age, some faster than others, and it can be perfectly normal. A lot of other factors can play into it as well. General health, level of physical activity, stress, a million things. It doesnt necessarily have anything to do with you at all. Relax. __ My mighty steed

I found it was cheaper to stay home and pound on my head with a 5 lb. hand sledge. It has about the same musical value too so nothing lost there.

Last night I had a dream that I went skydiving. The plane made it to altitude in about a minute and I barely had time to get my rig on before diving out the door. Unfortunately I was so tired that I fell asleep in freefall and didnt wake up until my Cypres fired my reserve and opening shock woke me up. At that point I was below 100 ft. and had barely enough time to even grab the toggles before burning into a field at a pretty high speed with no flare. I walked away without a scratch but I was really pissed because my reserve was a teeny unrecognizable yellow thing and I paid for a red PD 218R. The fact that I actually fell asleep in freefall didnt seem to concern me one bit. __ My mighty steed

I got my A 15 years ago and then promptly quit jumping until 2 years ago. There was no such thing as a pull out 15 years ago (as far as I am aware) and even today I believe that they are in the minority as far as the type of deployment on most rigs. The only reason I know the difference is because I saw someone packing one just a few months ago and asked them what it was. __ My mighty steed

Playing the devils advocate, I agree. In this society you can walk into a liquor store and buy a bottle of Wild Turkey and the only thing you need to do it is valid ID (and sometimes not even that) You can then take that bottle of booze, drink it, and go out and wipe out an entire family with your car. Aquiring the booze is regulated only by your age. They arent ever going to ask how long I've been drinking or suggest that I buy something thats not quite so strong until I'm a more experienced drinker. With a canopy thats beyond your skill, the only person you are likely to kill or maim is yourself. Not that you couldnt fly into someone else and hurt/kill them, but in all likelyhood it'll just be yourself. In my mind its the same thing as wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle. You should be allowed to make that choice for yourself. Hopefully you will make an intelligent choice, but our society permits us the freedom to be idiots and make bad choices. Why should skydiving be more restrictive than our entire society? __ My mighty steed
