Different people define the "finish line" differently. Different people dfine "Nice guy" differently. I could have enjoyed my 20 year HS reunion in the same way you did. My son just shipped out to boot camp at Parris Island. He wants to be a Marine real bad. I wish like hell he had stayed at home and gone to school or something but this is what he wanted to do. I told him 72 million times that I wouldnt think any less of him if he chose a safer path, but he wanted this and wouldnt be swayed. I'm so god damned proud of him. 6 months from now will likely see him in a place where many people want to see you dead for no other reason than you are from the USA and that absolutely terrifies me. My wife is a basket case and its all I can do to calm her fears.\ In her mind, joining the Marines is tantamount to a death sentance. I sure as hell cant voice my own fears to her. That would just add to her paranoia. Obviously thats not the case at all and I try to reassure her that the odds of that are small. Today I feel too grown up. My 18 year old son rode away last night in the car with the Marine Corps. recruiter. Last night he got sworn in at MEPS and at this very moment he is on his way to Parris Island. 6 months from now he will likely be in Iraq where lots of people want to see you dead for no other reason than you are an American. Last week I was only 41 years old. Today...I dont know. Its going to be a long 4 years __ My mighty steed

My last 4 canopies in order: Sabre2 210 Sabre2 190 Pilot 210 Pilot 188 (current) The Pilot 188 is my current main. I have only had it for about 8 jumps so far but is hands down my favorite. Its a a pleasure to fly and is just as fast as the Sabre2 I have no idea why your instructor woulds say such a thing. The Pilot is a great canopy, while he may be very knowledgable about may things, the Pilot is not one of them. __ My mighty steed

Previously I had a Sabre2 210 and a Sabre2 190 both new and both packing into a new V357 Then I got a Pilot 210 followed by a Pilot 188 both new and both packing into another new V357 I cant speak for the Safire2 but I know for a fact that the Pilots pack bigger and "puffier" than the Sabre2's did. Either that or my second V357 is smaller than my first V357
