Oh hell. Now the smart ass people have gone and annoyed you. Crap. If I cared to take the time to filter all your posts in this thread I think I could come up with a whole pile of smart ass remarks. I guess you are allowed though. You are special Why dont you folks just let this thread die? Its degenerated into useless sniping. __ My mighty steed

Thats what the killing kittens reference in her original post was all about. __ My mighty steed

Count me in. Summer sucks. Heat sucks. I like Spring and Fall the most. Winter next, and summer least of all. My perfect day is 68 F. degrees . I'll take 45 F and sunny over 90 F and sunny every time. __ My mighty steed

If its antidepressants like Prozac or other Seratonin reuptake inhibitors there should be no issues. They dont affect reaction times in a negative fashion like other types of meds can. __ My mighty steed

Who said that you can't jump year round in Colorado
ChrisL replied to dmbale's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Congrats on 100. Just hit that mark a few days ago myself. Cold is no real issue as long as you dress properly and you arent a wuss :-) We had -15 F (neg) at 13,500 one day in January. I wasnt uncomfortably cold. __ My mighty steed -
BTW, I've never been dropped lower than my altitude and my weight has nothing to do with consumption of big macs. I hear your message, but you might have phrased it differently. You come across sounding like you are attacking heavy guys and placing all the responsibilty for managing the weight of the load on the jumpers. Thats almost guaranteed to make sure that people DONT hear your message. __ My mighty steed

Actually its you thats being the smart ass man I'm just giving you my "off the cuff" reaction to your post and I think its a fairly legitimate point of view. It really isnt my job to worry about those things. Its yours. My job is to worry about the jump, my gear, my companions, etc. By the way, that plane was freshly fueled (tanks full) and filled with jumpers. Reguaar sized people yes, but not midgets or children. We got to 12k in less than 30 minutes. Granted, the Cessna in question has been modified with a more powerful engine and wing extentions, etc. Even so, the pilot of the aircraft is the guy that needs to make the call on the spot if the load is too heavy. He should do it on the ground before taking off, not drop jumpers at lower altitudes than they paid for and then tell them in a public forum that they are the ones that are at fault. __ My mighty steed

Hey I'm a body builder. I weigh 220 lbs and its taken me several years of hard work to get to where I am. I think I'll just drop 30 or 40 of those hard earned lbs though, cuz I think the DZO will appreciate that. I'm here to save him as much money as possible. Maybe I'll just jump less or keep myself constantly up to date on how much fuel is in the plane so I know just which loads I should be getting on. Oh wait, I have a better idea. I'm there to jump, not worry about DZ economics. They set the price and I pay it. I dont have to worryt about stuff like fuel cuz I'm not a pilot and I dont have to worry about profits cuz I'm not in business. I'm a paying customer and I expect to get what I pay for. I think I'll just jump cuz thats what I'm there paying my money to do. The freshly fueled Cessna 185 that I was flying in on Thursday got to 12,000 ft with no problems and a full load of jumpers. __ My mighty steed

I think you are overthinking the issue, dude Just go jump as soon as you can and stop worrying -

Actually, with metallic or mechanical parts included with your normal flesh and blood parts, that makes you a cyborg (if you apply the term VERY loosely) Bionic wouldnt apply. You could do a Cyborg jump at the WFFC __ My mighty steed

I read that a whole batch of Vigils were recalled due to them firing at innappropriate times, on the ground and in the air. This was found to be resulting from static discharege I believe. Still too new and having all the bugs worked out. I'd go with the Cypres. __ My mighty steed

Naked? GAH!!! Sorry, I'm the guy she was referring to and I'll be keeping my clothes on, thank you I'm doing the world (or at least the folks at the DZ) a big favor, believe me. They dont need to see me like that I dont know about rounds, flour, or flowers either for that matter. You guys are no help __ My mighty steed

Hey bro, I was defending your right to post anonymously, and I stand by that, but you are kind of heading into the personal attack area with this one. These guys may not agree but they have as much right to express their point as you do. This IS a discussion forum isnt it? So discuss, dont bash __ My mighty steed

I have heard stories of people being kicked off a DZ for expressing negative things. Given this simple fact, I dont see why someone cant post an anonymous opinion. What if the DZ in question is the only one this person could get to and they want to express their thoughts without making themselves a target? I think its perfectly valid to post this anonymously as long as its specific and not just blind bashing and trash talk. What do balls have to do with it? Nothing. To comepletely discount a post like this because the poster wished to remain anonymous is silly and unfair. I can certainly understand the reason for wanting anonymity. I cant speak to the factualness of this guys post, never been to milehi. I'm merely defending his right to post anonymously. __ My mighty steed

Junk???!? Thats a new one on me. __ My mighty steed

You didnt include "I dont give a shit" in the poll. I'm proud to say that I have not watched a single episode of this junk. __ My mighty steed

Except when its 97 degrees out. This might not relate to fall rate but its a valid point. I have to wear my (poly-cotton) suit to fly with anyone so even in the summer I will be wearing it and sweating my ass off. If it was heavier material like canvas I'd probably pass out in the plane on the ride up . __ My mighty steed

Uh oh....the end of the world must be near We will know it for a fact if your jump number changes __ My mighty steed

Is it ok to jump if I had a past back injury?
ChrisL replied to pertierr's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
A question about your medical condition and what is or is not advisable regarding physical activities is not a question for this forum. You should be directing this question to a doctor that specializes in the type of injury you sustained. __ My mighty steed
