The difference is 2 cells Actually other than that it seems to be a matter of personal preference more than anything else. 9 cells have a higher aspect ratio and tend to have a flatter glide angle and are good for high performance designs. The 7 cells tend to be used more for accuracy as they tend to come in at a steeper angle than 9 cells. These are very hasty generalizations. because it's a sabre ? i guess some people like being spanked since they keep going for sabres j/k, sabre is a good canopy .. but i love my crossfire more He is talking about a Sabre2 not a Sabre. Sabre2 are not known for hard openings. I'd have to go for the slider explanation myself. I have never been spanked by mine and I dont do anything at all to slow the opening. I leave the nose hanging, I dont pull the slider way out, etc. __ My mighty steed

Just got my FreeZR. Have not even jumped it yet. I dont have a scale that can measure something this light. If I were to guess I'd say about 2 lbs. I judged this by holding a 2 1/2 lb weight in one hand and the helmet in the other. The weight seemed heavier but not by too much. I had a Havok for a bit and I believe it was lighter than the FreeZR This is all guesses on my part and not based on any documented facts. __ My mighty steed

I had a little fantasy world called "Home Cloud" when I was about 6 or 7. I used to make lots of drawings of it. This world was filled with little stick figure people with man made wings strapped on to their arms and they would come swooping down and fly around all over the place. I drew these so much that my older brother started drawing them too. They had lots of different shaped clouds that they lived in Jump to 34 years later. I'm 40 and living in a world where some people routinely strap "wings" onto their bodies and swoop all over the place. I have not yet worn a wing suit but you better bet your ass its coming once my experience merits it Home Cloud will have to remain a fantasy but I can make part of it come true. I reminded my brother about Home Cloud the other day and he said that thinking about that after so long made him feel strange. Thats probably why I could only get him to do one tandem and then he stopped. __ My mighty steed

I was there at CK today and was told that he received some rather severe burns in an accident last night not related to a skydive. I dont know the extent of his burns or the nature of the accident other than they were not received on a skydive. The information I got indicated that he is alive. __ My mighty steed

I was falling at those speeds initially as well. Rather than expect the skydiving world to adapt to my fall rate (not a very reasonable expectation), I chose to adapt myself to match the average fall rates of the people that do what I wanted to be doing. In my case RW. I got a jumpsuit that was much more suitable to slow me down and give me more control. I also got some coaching to help me control fall rate with my body. Now I still have a tendancy to go a little fast if I'm solo, I can do RW with friends and its MUCH more under my control. __ My mighty steed

Doing bench press wont strengthen the muscles you are working on a skydive. Bench works the Pecs mostly with the triceps as a supporting muscle. In the arms, the tri's extend the arm. In skydiving most of the arm work will be pulling motions rather than pushing. Try adding a good biceps workout as well as lats. Those will serve you better on a skydive than the tricep will. __ My mighty steed
