That's a good one, but I've got to second Frampton Comes Alive from a few posts up. Loved it when it came out in the 70s and I still love it! I only have a few that have made it from my album collection to my cd collection and most recently to my iPod. Frampton Comes Alive is one of them- Live at Budokan is in my attic- never even made the transition to CD although maybe I should fix that!

I've got to agree- the iPod with iTunes is extremely "dummy proof" and very easy to use. I doubt you'll have have any problems loading it. A couple of months ago, I bought myself a nano (4gb- just the right size for me) and its the best new toy I've had in a while. Its also a great "workout buddy"! Plus, I love rediscovering my old CDs that I haven't played in ages!

Tell ME about it! I got "hired" by another one at the DZ last weekend! That makes 4, if I keep him! The plan was to get him healthy and find him a home, but I'm already pretty attached to my new "boss", so he'll be hard to give up!

I think all the "runners up" should have heaved a huge sigh of relief as they were eliminated. Magni and Toby shouldn't have any problems getting a decent record deal and making their own music. And Dilana gets the tour, plus Gilby Clark and Dave Navarro working on her CD? Way better than fronting a band of hasbeens! Last year INXS couldn't put their egos aside long enough to choose a singer who might take them in a whole new direction. They ended up with a guy who has made a career out of impersonating dead rockstars. (Sorry, Hooked....) Coming in 2nd was a sweet deal for Marty Casey. His band got to tour with INXS, they've got a CD out, and they're getting radio play. His own music. And I'll bet he's pretty happy with the way things turned out. This year, these guys didn't want someone who would upstage them, so they picked the whiny freak. They'll do one tour, release one CD and they'll be done. 5 years from now, FreakBoy will be trying to revive his dead career by appearing on Dancing With the Stars! Oh, and I still believe the whole "Dilana's Slipping and Redemption" routine was staged. I also don't believe the votes matter on American Idol. Its all manipulated for the ratings, and the outcome is determined pretty early on.

That may all be true, but he also captured a convicted rapist who was living a pretty good life down there in PV, basically in plain sight from what I remember hearing about the case. For all we know, he was STILL drugging and raping women down there. If the authorities in Mexico had apprehended and deported him, it would not have been necessary for a bounty hunter to go down there and retrieve him. And if the case wasn't so high profile and if the Mexican government wasn't publicly embarrassed by it, I doubt they would be so zealous about prosecuting him now.

I can think of at least two pools in my area with 5 and 10 meter diving platforms. I couldn't tell you whether they are open to everyone, or if you need to be participating in their diving program to use them, though!

Its not JUST tomato juice- I don't know everything that's in it, but it is tomato based. And you've got it wrong- its for the GOOD sipping tequilas- not a chaser or a mixer, just something to go along with it. But hey- to each his own. In Europe, they have mayo with their fries. Sounded really gross to me until I tried it! But with the right kind of fries and a good high quality mayo? YUM!

A few years back, on a trip to Ixtapa with my girlfriends, we were in a fairly nice restaurant and ordered tequila. When we did the tequila as shots, the waiter was appalled and gave us a lecture on the proper way to drink fine tequila- which includes sipping it (instead of slamming it) and alternating with the tomato juice concoction, which he called Sangrita or something similar.

Lukas? Just Hideous! Where is Simon Cowell when you really need him? Words can't describe how creepy and awful he is! And that whiny original song? I didn't think it could get worse, but it did! And what's with his hair? Is that mange? Didn't like Toby's cover, didn't like Magni's original. I thought Dilana was simply outstanding last night- loved her version of Roxanne and liked her original- I was one of the few who thought it was OK last week, and this week's performance was even better. I thought she performed so well, and so much better than the others that I'm even more certain that the controversy and "faltering" of the last few weeks was all "spin".

You're making too much of it. The cat could be terrified, disoriented and just coming to after anesthesia, possibly in pain too. When I picked up one of my guys after having his teeth cleaned, he wasn't that different. (Have you ever had general anesthesia? When I had ankle surgery with a general, I wasn't all that different when I woke up!) The vet techs wouldn't go near him and I had to go get him out of the cage. He was a sweetheart most of the time, especially with me, but he was not good at the vet and not good with strangers in general. He was kind of a one person cat, I guess! He wouldn't attack or anything, but he'd make it clear when he wasn't happy.

One of mine gets plenty of amusement from the fish tank- he's obsessed with the algae eater and will watch it for hours- jumping and pawing at the tank. (Doesn't much care about the other fish- just that one!) That's when he's not removing all the magnets from the fridge, of course! Or shredding the toilet paper. But, he only seems to mess with the TP and magnets when we are home, but not paying enough attention to him! I tell people he has OCD! Any my other two pretty much sleep most of the day-they're much more active at night and first thing in the morning.

I like Dilana, but all the drama is just Over The Top! I don't buy it for a second- it just stinks of audience manipulation. First she's the bitch, and now she's the hero, performing while she's injured. Whatever...... Aside from being carried on stage and hopping through her original, I liked her performance AND her original song. I think Gilby's harsh criticism is just more drama- trying to make her appear like some sort of underdog instead of the hands on favorite. People got sick of them fawning all over her! Best original song of the night has to go to Toby, though- although his vocals were off during Mr. Brightside- just a lot of screaching. Lukas- just plain scary and bad. Storm? whatever...... vocals were off during the first song and I don't even remember her original. But, I like her personality. She seems like she'd be fun to hang with. Magni- I thought he was pretty forgettable last night too. And maybe just a little too intense. "I'm Magni, bald brooding intense guy with a great voice! Pick me even though my personality is lacking!"

OK, what I really find ironic is that out of ALL the people who took issue with your statement, you only call out these 2. Maybe you should double check those panties afterall!

Isn't that exactly how executions are still being done in some parts of the world? Not that I think the video should be shown, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was- either publicly or through some sort of internet "leak". And I also wouldn't be surprised if that's something he would have wanted. But that doesn't mean I think it would be a good thing.

I'm not saying blame the pilot, because ultimately, its the jumper's responsibility to know his altitude and not just go on the green light. BUT, every time I've been on a load where there's a been a significant change in the planned exit altitude (in either direction) the pilot has communicated that with the load. Sounds like a series of bad decisions all around, and I'm glad no one was killed.

I knew a guy everyone called Dick Face- Face for short! Really great guy- just an overgrown kid, really! Sadly, he's not around anymore. He died of cancer when he was about 30.

"Fucking things around" as you put it so eloquently Tonto was his way of raising awareness to couch potatoes of our ever shrinking natural habitats and disappearing species to get of our 'arses' and do something. The world has lost a great conservationist. Too bad many people didn't see that. R.I.P. Oddly enough, I think you are both right- and the Croc Hunter would probably also say "Long live the Stingray!" I wonder if his last words were "My Crikey, he got me!" Its kind of a fitting and almost poetic end for him, isn't it? Yes, he was a conservationist, and yes he was raising awareness but YES, he also got too close and "fucked" with dangerous animals- while tryng to teach the world to respect these creatures, he "forgot" to respect them himself. And this time, he paid the ultimate price.

I don't think 5 minutes go by with Tommy Lee NOT thinking about f***ing someone or something! But actually, Dilana is the LAST finalist I would expect to sleep with him! She seems a little older than the rest of them (men and women) and she also seems like someone who could probably deal with the constant sexual harrassment and put him in his place. Did I mention, I think he's really creepy?!

Oh, I definitely think there was a LOT of "media spin", but I don't think it has anything to do with the fact that she's not "American", OR getting her booted off. I think it was just added drama because she's been an obvious favorite of theirs for so long- now if she wins, they can say she had all this "adversity" to deal with- adversity that didn't exist until last week. And if by any chance she doesn't, they can say it was fan backlash because she's a bitch. They're covered either way, and the audience has a reason to keep watching without thinking the winner is obviously predetermined. Oh, and not that I disagree about Storm, I just happen to think she was the only one of the 3 who "brought it" last night. If they were going to boot her last night, in all fairness, they should have booted all 3 of them!

Well, IMO- Storm was the only one of the 3 who performed well last night. Ryan's screaming was hard to listen to and Dilana's performance? Just plain weird- she used the exact same vocal effects that she used the night before- worked for Mother Mother, but did NOT work on Psycho Killer. If she was trying to throw the competition, she was doing a pretty good job. (Or maybe she's soooo cocky that she didn't even bother to rehearse a song just in case?) Storm, on the other hand, picked a song she knew and loved and one that was well suited to her voice and style. She rocked it, and I don't usually like Beatles covers. She's wrong for the band, but I also think it would have been wrong of them to eliminate the only one who gave a decent performance! I just loved the look on Ryan's face when they told him to go! Guess I'm just mean like that but he was soooo surprised and pissed! Then he basicly told them they were dumb not to choose him! Too funny! I haven't forgiven him for what he did to Layla last week- then he butchers the Who? Buh Bye! The Supernova original- less sucky than the first two, but I can't stand Lukas. Honestly, I don't see myself buying any of their music no matter who they choose as a lead singer! The show is kind of cool to watch just to see new talent emerging- besides, what else is on? Its summer re-run season!

Actually- I think he already looks like a creepy child molester- the kind of guy most parents would instinctively keep their kids away from. I'm sure that's one reason he was living in Thailand, where he could buy all the kids he wanted without any parents objecting! Oh, and BTW- NOTHING like your avatar photo!

If its a double elimination, it *should* be Storm and Ryan. Crawling all over a piano does not equal stage presence, and he's so clearly not right for their band. How many times have they all but told him that, too? Storm- well, that was an unfortunate song choice for her. Like you said, she did OK with it, but that song didn't suit her voice AT ALL! She's got some pipes, but she's also not a good fit for that band. Can't stand Lukas, but he didn't suck last night. And Toby- I also think he's all wrong for them, but I actually noticed and enjoyed his performance last night. I thought Dilana did great last night- perfect song for her, and I also think she's perfect for the band. Magni was terrific as usual, but I think he's way too good for them. Those guys would probably hold his career back. And is it my imagination, or are the other two guys a little embarrassed by Tommy Lee? He's so creepy, and last night especially, he had nothing relevant or coherent to say! What the he** was he on last night anyway! Best line of the night was when he told Toby to send the hootchies to his dressing room, and Toby told him to check their IDs first! eeeeewwwwwww If they pick Lukas, Jason and Gilby will have two creepy psychos to deal with! And how about the OTT house drama they aired, with Lukas running around telling everyone that Dilana cut Magni's head "wide open" when there was just an itty bitty little trickle of blood? They're making too much of the drama surrounding Dilana's comments. I think she was a) set up because they knew she would talk some shit and b) the victim of creative editing. And all of that was about ratings and trying to create extra drama and suspense when there really isn't any. She's been their favorite all along.
