Domino. Decent action, some downright hilarious scenes, at least one hot guy/ steamy scene and lots of blood and gore.

Fitness Fools...POST February 15th-February 22!
tigra replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
Upper body- back and shoulders- with the trainer on Tuesday, cardio and legs last night. I was thinking arms tonight, but that was earlier. Now I'm thinking cardio, arms and abs tomorrow. I did spend Valentine's Day evening at the gym and all, so maybe I should spend tonight with the SO instead...... -
Your post is EXACTLY the reason Omarosa is on that show. The only truly successful season on the Apprentice was the first one- why? Because people tuned in waiting for her to be fired because she is sooooo freakin awful. Trump is trying to ressurect his show by bringing her back and apparently tosome extent, its working. Don't buy into it. Turn OFF the TV, walk away.............

Am I a loser or just dedicated for working out last night? I worked kind of late, I was really beat but I also got stuck in traffic Wednesday night, missed my class and skipped my workout so I kind of felt like I had to. Cardio and legs. Wow- the gym was practically EMPTY! Anyway, the scale isn't budging, I'm not needing any new smaller clothes but I did add weight on most of the machines I used without my trainer there to make me do it and spot for me! So all in all, I feel pretty good. progress, you know........... -

My mom used to always talk about an Alfred Hitchcock movie where the wife killed her husband with a frozen leg of lamb, then cooked it and served it to the police detective investigating the murder. -

I think that was in a Stephen King novel, although it might have been a prosthetic arm instead......... -
I have to ask- how has your friend been making French press coffee without a coffee grinder? I just think of all the things associated with "high end" coffee making and drinking, the brand/ type of coffee grinder is probably the least important component. Its important to have one, but most of them pretty much do the same thing. And I do have "coffee snob" tendencies- my sister turned me on to coffee made from freshly ground coffee beans more then 20 years ago and I never looked back.
-
I'm with Lawrocket on this one. The quality of the coffee beans and how long/ how fine you grind it (definitely very course for a coffee press) is far more important than the actual brand of coffee grinder. Most of the coffee grinders on the market seem to be pretty similar. Spend the money on the coffee instead.

Public Toilets and Ass Gaskets -- Do you use them?

With a few good pole vaulting crabs, the hover technique is completely obsolete! -
I never make spinach dip without them, and pretty much anyone who has had my spinach dip thinks it is pretty damn good. I had to stop bringing it to the office pot lucks because it made the other "dip bringers" feel bad.

Those little crabs need to get their cardio in too! -

I hope your yoga class doesn't go the way of the Latin Cardio Dance class at my club. I'm already missing the booty shaking and its only been 2 weeks! There were only 5 or 6 "regulars" and it just wasn't worth it for the instructor to come out just for us and the occasional walk in. I can catch her class on another night at a different location, but things have been nuts at work and I haven't been able to get out early enough to get there. ...........sigh............. Its nice to balance out the weight lifting and elliptical with something fun, you know? -
I'm having a crappy day- THAT made me laugh out loud. So true, so true!

I had the syndesmosis screws in my ankle last time around also (the ones that run through both bones at the ankle) and my ortho said they were meant to be temporary and should be removed before any weight bearing because they can break pretty easily. (some doctors apparently don't think its a big deal to have broken hardware in your ankle and just leave them in......) Just because scheduling the surgery proved to be difficult, I was weight bearing for a few months before he took those and a couple of other screws out. They didn't break, but I don't think I was walking with full weight on that leg until those screws were out because it was just too painful. I eventually had all my hardware removed.

ummmmm- cuz she IS one, maybe........

Fitness Freaks! Post For February 1st-February 7th
tigra replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
I spent months pretty much just doing cardio. The strength training has made a HUGE difference. I lost weight with the cardio but now I'm building muscle. They say strength training also burns more fat than cardio. I try to do 50/50 now, cardio and weights. But on my own, I slack on my upper body which is why I am wincing every time I reach for something with my right arm today. -

I think the walking lunge/ shoulder press combo is what did it, but I swear, they were only 10 lb dumbells! I was tired, but nothing "popped" or anything while I was doing it. By the time I was driving home I knew I must have done something though. I'm pissed because I am normally very careful with my form and breathing, especially with the upper body stuff because I'm still so weak there! Obviously, I did something WRONG and I'm paying for it! Its my right shoulder, I'm left handed but I do so much with my right arm/ hand anyway and I can't seem to stop myself. Even reaching for the phone hurts right now! Yikes! The dixie cup trick is one they did and recommended when I was in PT for my ankle(s). For my ankle, I usually wanted something to wrap all the way around, but I can see for my shoulder where that would be just the right size, especially if I had some help. But enough about that- good luck at the gym! I hope they've got what you are looking for. Friendly people and decent instructors/ trainers can make all the difference. Its great that you CAN workout at home, but sometimes its a little more motivating at the gym. -

You're not intruding. And great job getting the dust off the treadmill! Although I've never really injured them, I've had some knee and flexibility issues that became more noticeable when I started strength training. Best advice I can give is what your are doing- start slow and gradually add in more strength training. It may not happen over night, but you WILL see a difference. -

No more Latin Cardio on Tuesdays so I switched my trainer nights. (He had another client who desperately wanted my Wednesday night slot so I switched to Tuesdays, an hour earlier which actually works better for me too.....) Anyway, we mostly did legs last night but somehow I managed to do something to my right shoulder. I really wanted to work my arms and upper body tonight to balance out what I did last night...... But, the shoulder is sore and its more than just normal muscle strain. So, I think no lifting tonight- maybe just some time on the elliptical and ibuprofen when I get home. sigh................ -
I love the Bosu ball, and so does my trainer. I spent a lot of time on it last night! If I was better about working out at home, I would consider shelling out the cash for one but I'm afraid of spending $100.00 on something I won't use at home.

I went to college with a guy like that. He knew that he stank and he didn't care. I think he might even have thought it was funny. In one class, the smell was so bad that the professor asked everyone to check their shoes to see if they stepped in something and tracked it in. Nope- it was just Sean! He directed a play once and decorated the set with his own clothes. (The main character was a "starving artist" type.....) The stench was so bad- you could smell it in the lobby- that the person in charge of props had no choice but to wash the nasty clothes. He (Sean) was pissed because he thought the odor added "atmosphere" and was part of his "artistic vision"!
