  1. Wow, I don't even need a rig. I just need some nice people to put money on my account at the DZ so I can afford to jump as much as I would like to! All I need to do is place an eBay ad? Geez- why didn't I think of that???
  2. She definitely has a fantastic body- I will give her that. I liked her old material from the late 80s, and her look from that period- like the video from Borderline. Nothing since then. She's kind of a joke, isn't she? A very wealthy joke, but still a joke! Isn't her typical audience 75% gay men or something like that? Still, I seriously doubt Britney Spears or any of the other young pop tarts will have a career anywhere near as long or as successful as hers.
  3. Cool. I'm going to order a brand new custom rig with a skyhook, Cypres II, and all the bells and whistles, from a well known skydiving gear shop. I thought I'd have to save for a long time to be able to pay for it, but now I know I can pay it off $20 a month! I'm a little surprised the gear shop won't mind that they have to pay thousands up front, and won't get paid back for years, but if they're cool with it so am I. Hey, with a business model like that maybe they'll go out of business and I'll never have to pay up. Don ummmmmm- that's kind of how it works with medical bills - medical care is a necessity, a new custom rig is not.
  4. I think your roommate owes you a new mattress, to be honest.
  5. You can put your cell number on the _donotcall.gov_ list also. Actually, I thought I had. Its not like I get a lot of those calls anyway. I just use my caller ID and ignore the call. Besdes, I just read today that they just passed a law to make those "robotic" telemarketing calls illegal. Not like it stops them, really, but its a start.
  6. I've got employer provided/subsidized insurance. I've been injured skydiving, never lied about it and it was covered. However, I have a friend who found out about a "dangerous sports exclusion" on his policy after he was severely injured. After that, I tried to get a copy of my insurance policy through my employer and the insurance company directly, fine print and all. It was virtually impossible. I finally gave up.
  7. Isn't that when you give out your ex's number? j/k! I would never do that!
  8. Easier said than done for most people, especially if you don't have a land line. When I was moving, I had to give my cell number out to virtually everyone. Insurance agent, cable company, gas, electric, phone companies, movers, etc. I'm pretty sure that's how I got those car warranty scam calls a few months ago, and the ones I am getting now. Funny- I've got a 10 year old car with over 100K on it- my warranty is ABOUT to expire???
  9. Really? Most telemarketers seem to respect the "do not call" list as far as my land line is concerned, but lately I've been getting a daily call on my cell from some telemarketing company (automated) and it isn't the first time. Not like I get a ton of them, but they still come through. I've also learned you can't get rid of the bill collectors if you share a land line with someone who doesn't pay his or her bills. Or if some deadbeat who used to have your phone number is still giving it out to people 7 years later! But, that's what caller ID is for, right?
  10. I try not to be a grammar nazi but the truth is that the deterioration of basic reading and writing skills is kind of sad. Language is a beautiful thing. I'd hate to lose all the subtleties and nuances of any given language for the sake of simplicity, or just plain laziness.
  11. She was probably too embarrassed and shocked to thank you properly. Maybe she'll say something next time she sees you in the store. I'm sure that sandwich was really tempting!
  12. A few drinks is a nice gesture, a free tattoo is overkill. He might think you are more interestd in him than skydiving. That makes some guys a little uncomfortable! And no offense to you or your skill as a tattoo artist, but I personally would not accept a tattoo, free or not, without first looking at the artist's work. I've seen way too many ugly or just plain bad tattoos on other people!
  13. Cooking is one thing. If you started getting too concerned with making the food "pretty" or doing a "table scape" we would have to pull your man card!
  14. Not really in most states. If her name was on the mortgage then all she needs is a death certificate and it should be good to go. Btw I would have a problem living in either of those houses But im just a little bitch Depends on the state, and it depends on how they held title to the property but it has very little to do with the last mortgage of record. A surviving spouse who had held title jointly with the deceased person normally wouldn't have any issues with a quick sale but that isn't always the case. If the deed putting them into title wasn't worded in a specific way, it can get tricky.
  15. I recall hearing that the bugs that look like flying ants are actually the queen ants! yuck! We've been doing major warfare on the ants in and around our trailer at the dz. Tiny ones, thank god! If I had those creeping around, I don't think I could stand it!
  16. You wouldn't think a homeowner would need to worry about sworn statements, releases and lien waivers for a small project like a deck, but even the people who supply materials can file liens. Even if the lien wasn't filed correctly, it will show up on a routine title search and try selling or refinancing your home without paying it. Paying the supplier or sub contractor can be less expensive than hiring an attorney.
  17. Skydive Ixtapa gets my vote- amazing view from the time the plane takes off right up until you land on the beach.
  18. Gee, next time it tries to install itself on my computer without my permission, should I send it your way? I don't think my firewall gives me that option, but I can try!
  19. Dont ask me what I think of you I might not give the answer that you want me to .....
  20. ummmmm its a line from a song ........
  21. Its like some crazy cult! All the "new converts" are trying to lure other people in ........... "Yeah, you know, I used to feel that way too but now that I've joined, its soooooooo great! ............." Its like you can almost see the glazed over look in their eyes even when you are just reading an email or a post! And how abut the sneaky "Come and view my photo album" offers! I won't do it! I wont! You can't make me!

    Got titanium?

All my metal is in my dresser drawer now- haven't decided what to do with it yet. (a couple of plates and some screws......) But when I was actually walking around with it in my leg, I never set off a metal detector anywhere- airport, courthouse, etc. I have no idea if it is titanium or something else.
