Come on Skymama, you know! The jumpmasters don't bother teaching the pretty girls anything! They just give them gear and let them go! Didn't that happen to you? Me- I must not be pretty enough because my AFP training was pretty thorough! Didn't stop me from doing stupid stuff, but again (I guess 'cuz I'm not pretty enough) people let me know what I did wrong and offered to help. But the really cute girls? Nope, they're on their own!

I did NOT watch it but I remember last year when they did OutBack Jack they really played up the dumb ditzy clueless angle on the girls. Most of the ones who stuck around for a while were eventually portrayed in a more positive light.

My Spectre 150 fits pretty easily in a container made for a 135, and I seriously doubt I could get a Sabre 150 in there. Don't know if that helps or not, but I would say they pack up a little smaller than a 9 cell zero P!

My understanding is a big part of the scam (which in one form or another has been going on for years) is that the "purchaser" offers to send a cashiers check for a great deal more than the cost of the item in question and expects you to wire transfer back the difference. I have a friend who owns rental property and a prospective tenant tried to pull the same scam. She strung him along for a while while she contacted the police and the FBI. (Exchanged emails with him, stalled and promised the refund was on its way.) I don't what if anything they did about it, but at least she wasn't out any cash.

That's how I usually wear my earrings- itty bitty diamond studs in the top holes, small hoops, drops or dangly ones on the bottom! I say go for it, and I don't see why your husband would object! Maybe he was afraid you would do something more radical and couldn't visualize what you were talking about, or he just thinks its frivilous! He's not the boss of you anyway, right??

I saw a Paula Dean episode where she made beer can chicken. She stands the chickens up on a full open can of beer and cooks them on the grill. They sort fo steam from the inside out.

Oh sure, from a DEAF guy! I agree she's talented, but she sounded better last night than she did all season long. Her previous performances were good enough to get her to the final two, but I personally didn't think good enough to win. Maybe once the real pressure was off, she could relax and actually sing!

I'm with you. He brought the house down with Sweet Home Alabama, then minutes later they give the title to someone else. Funny thing though- Carrie sounded better last night than she did all season.

One time we got stopped leaving a bar around 2:00 am, totally random stop like they do sometimes outside bars at that hour. My bf was driving and although he'd been drinking too, he was OK. ME? I was pretty well toasted. The cops made him go through all the sobriety tests and at one point they had him stand on one leg and put his finger on his nose or something. I yelled out, "No Honey, Don't! He didn't say Simon says!" I guess he was lucky cops don't give tickets to people for driving obnoxious drunks around! -
I thought it was always bug season in Florida.

I never bought into the whole conspiracy theory with American Idol until now. It was rigged- predetermined very early on who would win. Bo Bice already has a contract and if he's lucky, he won't have to release the cheeze he was forced to sing Tuesday night as a single. That honor goes to Carrie Underwood. (Maybe she can get some pointers from Bo on how to make it sound less crappy!)

A few years ago I watched the Chicago Buls win the championship at a Wrigleyville Bar with some friends. My friends lived in the neighborhood and knew the manager of the bar. He sent us over some souvenir panties in plastic souvenir cups as a "gift". After the game, as I was walking towards Addison Street to catch a tax (a wee bit buzzed) a cop stopped me and asked me what was in the cup. I giggled, pulled the panties out and waved them in the air at him! "They're panties, officer!" then, a little more subdued, I said, "I'm just going to try and catch a cab, OK?" -
I agree. And just because you think the companies are "very close" to making an offer doesn't mean its going to happen in the next couple of days. If they do, you're only asking for an extra couple of weeks. If they want you, they'll wait.

You forgot the big one- Where's Behroooooooooz???? Also, what about the defense contractors? They black out a good portion of LA and send an army of mercenaries to get back a piece of paper that proves they were selling arms to terrorists. Paul is shot in the process, they never get their paper back, so what happened with them? I love 24 but there's always a couple of major (or potentially major) plotlines that are dropped. Oh, and don't count on them ever getting back to those dropped storylines either, although they love to bring back the good villains, so we'll see Mandy again!
