They're pricey for sure. They've also got all these scary pictures on the wall of infected tattoos and piercings that were done at other places. Propaganda, I know. But I also know they did a good job for me and I've seen some really bad tattoos.

Even though she annoys the crap out of me on American Idol, I have to agree. It would only be scandalous if she were preying on teenage boys and girls! Methinks some young guys are trying to revive their deader than dead music careers!

Well, my first one I got about 8 years ago and I don't think the artist is there anymore. I just got a little one on the back of my shoulder about a month ago. At the moment I can't remember his name, but I'm sure I've got his card at home. I'll look for it. They charge by the size and design, but they also have upcharges for certain parts of the body. They'll do custom stuff, and they also have every wall covered with books of designs. I think I paid about $75.00 for my new one (its a lady bug, cute and girly). Kind of pricey, but he did do a good job and the small tattoos can come out really bad! My older tat is holding up just fine, too. Maybe a little faded (tanning beds don't help) but I think it still looks great. Fat Joe is supposed to be THE GUY (its his shop) but I'm sure he's got a waiting list.

Both my tattoos were done there and I think they do a good job. But I'm no expert!

My French was really good in high school, I was even able to use it in Europe after college but I've lost it from lack of practice. Now I'm trying to learn Spanish (which I also studied in high school but never got as far as I did with French) and I really have to stay away from French entirely or it takes over.

I guess calling the doctor was out of the question?
-
OK, I admit, I voted for "toofless" but only because I just loved how you spelled it "toofless" like that!

OK, but if he's got a raging infection, can't he go to his regular doctor and get a REFERRAL for an oral surgeon and then maybe it would be covered under his health insurance? I know, probably not but this is more of a medical issue than cosmetic and it stinks that the he'll have to go into debt for corrective surgery when he's got health insurance!
-
Just curious- Since the problem with your teeth is causing chronic recurring infections, is there any way your regular medical insurance would cover this? If you can afford it or work out some kind of payment plan, I'd go for the permanent implants! Probably a better choice in the long run!

Like Canuck said, the worst part is your hands under canopy! I'm NOT 50, but unless its a special jump, 50 and full sun is my criteria these days! 43 isn't so bad as long as its sunny! I've jumped when it was in the 20s but I was a newbie then and really horny for jumps!
-
How old are you? When the temp on the ground is lower than my age, I don't jump! Ask a lot of people who have been in the sport for a while and they'll say the same thing! Kallend doesn't count. He's pretty old but would still jump all winter if he could!
-
Yep- spring here is very unpredictable! We've already had more jumpable weekends this spring than I remember from the past 3 years!
-
Ordinarily I'd say f*ck the forecast, because its hardly ever right! (And I don't know if you've heard about Roger's weather mojo, but there have been plenty of weekends when the only blue skies in a 50 mile radius were directly over SDC- I swear!) But, the forecasts usually ARE right when it comes to wind- sorry! I doubt they'll put you up if the winds are 15 plus! I don't jump when the winds are 15 plus, that much I can tell you! You can try to get there very early, like for the first or second load and hopefully that will be before the winds pick up, or stick around until late afternoon, because sometimes the winds die down. And of course, you can practice packing and socialize! Have you taken the written AFP test yet? Maybe there's some videos to watch? Get a copy of the SIM and read up, study for your A test? Fly a kite?

When in New Orleans, the chicory coffee is the way to go. Somehow, outside of New Orleans, it just isn't the same!

Oh come on- what fun is a demo without at least a couple of broken legs and one roughed up spectator? Like THAT'S going to make the news! Seriously, its nice to hear about a demo without any injuries!
-
That would only last me a couple of days!

Pope Derelict Billy II if I just use my first name. If I add my middle or last name, its heinous something or other!

No, no glow in the dark poopies! She was completely freaked out and her mouth and paw had glowy stuff on them. But it only glows for a few hours, then it goes away.
-
The glow stick didn't hurt her either, but I couldn't laugh at her until I was sure. THEN I laughed!
-
I would have been on the phone with the vet making sure I didn't need to bring her in. Just like the time my kitten bit into a glow stick in the middle of the night! Poor baby!

Next time you are at SDC take a look at the old runway- they usually fly over it and its hard to miss. About half the size and Lady Luck and Mr. Douglas regularly took off and landed from there.
-
You should have seen Mr. Douglas takeoff for the old Skydive Chicago airport! For the record though, I seriously doubt Lady Luck used (or needed) the entire runway at the "new" SDC.
-
Skydiving regularly even though scared of it.

My jumping has slowed down considerably over the past few years. It isn't fear. I've had work issues, then stopped the OT but bought a house and had money issues. At times, the jumping hasn't been that FUN for me, and that kept me on the ground. But, I can honestly say that the jumps I am making now are actually better jumps than when I was making 10 jumps a weekend almost every weekend. It works out. Maybe your friend isn't getting the same feeling from jumping that he or she used to get. It happens. As long as she/ he isn't a danger to her/himself or anyone else, I wouldn't be too concerned. -
Jeth, I'm not a pilot, but I think second group out works OK for the hole too. You just crawl out as the first group exits.
