An adult cat is a great idea, especially if you are only going to get one! There are days when I think my self cleaning litter box is more trouble than its worth BUT I have 3 cats and one of them has kidney disease, so that littler box gets a work out! (I have a second regular litter box also and we do our best to keep them both clean so the house doesn't stink and the cats aren't tempted to find other places to go!)

I agree. My male cats have pretty much all been snugglers while the female cats I've shared my home with tend to want affection only on their terms.

You CAN leash train a cat, it just takes time and patience.

Mine holds 14 gallons and gets decent but not great mileage. (Beetle) At $3.00 per gallon we're already looking at fewer road trips!

I've got half a tank right now- if I top off now and the price stays the same, I'm just wasting my time. If I top off now, and the price goes up, I'll have saved a little money- probably less than $20.00. And I'll still need to buy gas again at some point in the near future. I'm not waiting in a gas line to save $20.00, especially since I'll be adding to the problem, possibly aid in creating a shortage and depriving someone who really needed the gas.

I'm in Chicago. Gas was $3.00 a gallon last night and I imagine its gone up even more today. This woman I work with just got off the phone and told EVERYONE to go out and buy gas tonight because its going up to $5.00 a gallon by the end of the week. I think she's feeding into the hysteria and is part of the problem, but I'll bet 75% of the people she told will be in some line buying overpriced gas tonight!

thats because your ingnorant to the electronic musical lifestyle. dont be a hater, it makes you look fat! OK, OK I don't usually do this BUT.....................if you're going to call someone IGNORANT you should at least make sure its spelled correctly! And sorry, I like a lot of different music but Techno? Can't do it! Just can't! Blame the freeflyers who tormented me with it by playing it outside my trailer all night long when I had to be up at 6 am!

Marty has his moments, but he's all wrong for INXS. I *think* it will be either Mig or Ty that "wins", but I can't help but wonder what any of these talented young performers would really want the job. They're getting great exposure, though. I wonder if they had to sign some super restrictve contract like the American Idol finalists do. (really limits their options for at least two years, from what I understand)

WXRT plays it in its entirety every Thanksgiving! I saw him in concert years ago- back when they still had ChicagoFest on Navy pier! He was great!

I don't know the Nurse song, but I could see where the very catchy Doorbell song could cross the line and become annoying. I still love it though!

I *think* the idea is if they're ALLOWED to do it, they'll lose interest. I'm sure it will backfire and just like you say, the kids will fill their quota daily! Reverse psychology doesn't work that well on kids that age!

They can still catch up with you. It may take them a while, and you might think you're in the clear. Then you'll go to buy a new home or something, and there will be a judgement on your credit report. Or you'll get pulled over for speeding and find out your license was suspended over unpaid parking tickets. It happens!

Even if you could prove negligence, malice or obvious recklessness, its a hard sell. In the case of malice- say a deliberate attack- IF you could prove it, it would be a criminal matter. no?
