  1. What the hey, thought I'd toss this one in the ring. It was a nice pic taken while still on the rear risers. Scott C. Pic was by Chris Tracz, credit where credit is due "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

    Taxes....

Wow, that does make a difference with $17 jumps. 2800 would only be only $47,600 Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  3. It will be my yearly remembering of my whopping sub 24 hour engagment which started after a great night out on New Years Eve ('95/'96) in Seattle WA. The engagment was put out of its misery at a Wedding Chappel in Las Vegas before midnight on Jan 1st. The short version: engaged at about 2am in front of a Bar after a new years eve party, went home then to the airport and got a cheap flight to vegas (talk about last minute), got a hotel on the strip, went to the court house for a marriage license, found a chappel and said I Do's, finally continued having fun in a honeymoon mode for 3 more days. Hell even made a skydive while we were down there. Anyway in response to what I will be doing tomorrow night, nothing nearly as exciting... BUT I always enjoy New Years Eve remembering the above noted story!!! Hope someone else has as good a time as I did on New Years Eve, and good luck!! Scott C. 4. Well, there was this one time at Band Camp....... "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  5. What was the problem you felt that caused you to change the risers? Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  6. I looked on Paragear and cant find the page where you noted the 416 cuin for the sabre 2. I know RI stopped making them in about '97. I have had a number of them previously and do have the flexon manual. This one was built in '97 and sat on the shelp at RI unitl I bought it last year. It was sent to me as a new container with never having a canopy in it, for a good deal. The F5 is listed as "ideal" with a 450 cuin main. If the above size you note is true, the 190 sould fit no problem. I have had much smaller canopys in there, down below the 350 cu in sizing, with no problems at all... Thanks Scott C. 7. I looked at the PD site and the noted PD "Mystery" .pdf I also understand the vast differences between different measurments. I am asking since I was asked abut it for a container and reserve I am selling. One of the people interested wants to know if a Sabre 2 190 will fit. The container is a Flexon F5. I think it may fit but would be a tight fit. I will probably have to go out to the DZ and grab a friends 190 and stick it in to see if it will fit. Crappy weather so just trying to avoid the drive out there..... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  8. I tried on-line at PD and a few dealers. I searched the forums but cant find the answer or even a pack volume chart for the PD Sabre 2 line of canopys. I am specifically looking to try and find the volume of a Sabre 2 190. Can somebody help? Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

  11. Hay C. Weather will probably be crap anyway but I would take them out if nothig else to see what YOU are enjoying. A lot of people have an incorrect preception of what skydiving is. If they put up a fight with you about stopping by with or with out the possibility of jumping, you might want to ask them what they think about when they think of skydiving. I have been very suprised by some of the responses that people spout out of their mouth with regard to skydiving. The preception is usually very wrong and a little information does help, not always, but sometimes it does. Just a thought. I was out last weekend and weather in Kitsap sucked. Looked like it was not too bad on the other side of the water though.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  12. Here is a quick thought. You have a 50/50 chance to filp a heads or tails on a coin flip. If you hit 5 heads in a row what is the stastical chance that you will hit a tails on flip #6, 50/50! The chance of something happening is not an additive effect. i.e. The more you do something with a specific outcome then the more likely an increase in the chance of the negative or reversed outcome happening. It is not this way. Each separate event, like a coin flip, is at the actual or theoretical stated stastical likelyhood. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  13. That is correct, E-bay is where I bought the shirt and it is very nice. Fast delivery.. BTW, I have had very good luck buying online and have gotten some very good deals! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  14. I am sure that some of you have the same problem my wife has in getting presents for me. She says she cant get me anything since if I want it I generally just go and buy it. I'm not good at waiting, so shoot me. Well to make it easier on her I bought a shirt for her to give me for my Christmas stocking. I thought it was funny so have a look..... The image is on the front of the shirt... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  15. I am curious of opinions on the "New" design of reserves. It seems to me that 3 companies are promoting this type of reserve: Aerodyne with the Smart, PD, and the Precision R-max. I have not seen the r-max or the smart yet and was curious what people thought of these compared to the PD. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  16. When is it going on the Web Site?? Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  17. One of my favoite things about that picture is the D-bag. The shadow is very cool but look at the size of the friging D-bagin comparison to the canopy. It looks Huge, but I gess it needed to be since it was holding a 21 sq ft canopy Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  18. I know Lugi landed the 46 but the smallest canopy I know of that was jumped on a standard riser set was Andy Farrington jumping the Xaos 21 sq ft napkin, oh wait I mean canopy Here iis a thread oin that http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=379551 Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  19. If your going to stop there you might as well go up the road as well to Kapowsin.... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  20. Have fun and I wish I was down there. The weather sounds better there then the forcast for Seattle. Also glad to hear the King is back, have fun all! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  21. Thinkig about making a living in skydiving is sorta like thinking about the old vegas rule of thumb: "How do you get a small fortune in Vegas?? Start with t a large Fortune " Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  22. I hate them, shoot them all! "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
