  1. Hey there, not that any of you care but the Casino was good to me tonight! Played Craps for 4+ Hours and ended up ahead! (after a considerable amount of drinking and eating!) For the one that asked, "Scotchguarding" is a way to protect the container! Throw on some Fabric Scotchguard (2 coats thanks to the wonders of a spray can and the fine people at 3M) and it helps the container stay in good shape. Right on the can it says "Gives repellency to help protect against spills and stains" I have done it to the last few containers I have owned and helps keep it in great shape! So does not having a shi*'ty landing, probably more so then the spray protectant, but this also helps ... Its about 2:30 am (pacific time) and the last coat of Scotchguard is about to go on! Good thing I did not get my ass handed to me at the Craps table or I could not afford the can ; With the fan blowing, the container should be dry and ready to go by mid morning. Just have to inspect reserve, get it hooked up and packed. Pics will then follow! Like I said before "What the hell!" Why not share the new container with an internet happy dance nd a couple of pictures!!!! Scott C. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  2. New Wings arrived Today!! New PD Reserve arrived yesterday!! Scotchguarding container tonight!! Packing it up tomorrow!! Get a few pics up when done!
  3. What altitude did you deply at and what altitude did you end up under reserve?? I had a similar experience on a Batwing years ago when I was in a big hurry and forgot to set brakes, dumb dumb dumb but learned a lesson from that. Canopy was a slow opening one to begin with and I got into the habbit of just watching it. This opening was really slow and I ended up deciding to really pull down on both rear risers before getting ready to chop. The canopy finally decided to open. Not pretty but opened and then I noticed the breaks were not set. After that I would watch the opening to be sure it was not twisting up on me and then give a little tug or pop on both rear risers when I was ready for the canopy to open. That method worked great to speed up the opening when I wanted/needed it to. I would have to say that a considerable level of input was needed though (in comparison) for opening with the breaks not set..... Oh well, live and learn! Scott C. 4. I am partial to my current Samurai Signature series Canopy!! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  5. Brian, Up in the cold North of Flordia from the looks of some of your posts. Now to the point of the thread. I have a Signature Build Samurai and love it! No problems at all with it and workmanship is outstanding. I would expect that near the same level should be comming out of PD as well. I had the choice when buying the canopy and Brian offered the signature series so I took advantage of the option. Compared to having the canopy from PD in (I think) 6 weeks, Brian had it in my hands with the colors I picked in 2! You must have been bored to get it done that quick End result and "IMHO", oing with PD is a great idea and will save some resources espicially on a ramp up period. If you want the option for Brian to build it thats great! Just have to be carefull about gettting good followup and feedback from the PD build customers. There was one unhappy guy noted in the thread above both in time and workmanship. That is the prime issue I can see with outsourciing... But the upside to it is pretty good but you need to take the extra step on some followup to assure that it stays that way... I would wonder if the Sensi will be only an "In-House" build though? With the preceive and stated trickyness of building this canopy that has been mentioned previously, I am curious about the plans for that build? Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  6. Saw it, pretty good episode. Which DZ did they use?? I think they do the show in the bay area?? Maybe not, I am not sure. Just curious.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

    MAD COW

Friend sent me this. Searched but did not find it here so here it is. Funny! http://www.totallytom.com/MadCow.html Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  9. I have a diablo 150 as a back up canopy. It is bigger then the Samurai I use as my primary main but that thig spins like a top (diablo that is). It is huge amounts of fun to fly and you can get a swoop out f it at the end if you know what your doing. Not a X-braced caliaber swoop but a very nice solid swoop. It does not have 9 cell glide characteristics but as a 7 cell it generally kicks the crap out off the performance that I have felt under different 7-cells. Yeah Yeah not the X-braced 7-cells. This canopy is not a beginner canopy. It turns faster then a lot of "hotter" canopies I have jumped. You would be suprised! It will turn at min as fast as but probably slightly faster then a stiletto. That is if the stilletto is not being a spinnetto (stiletto with a bad opening) usually resulkting in a cutaway) . Higher FR pressure and less responsivness in a FR turn (straight leadig edge) but whip a toggle turn and its off to the races! Great canopy, I dont know whay they stopped when Aerodyne took over??? Stop Spyware

What do you think is the best Download for SpyWare stopping on the computer. I have had a few suggestions but am curious what luck peole have had. So, What do you think? Thanks, Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  12. You have aspirations to model? Looks like your sporting two more of them on E-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3654434590&category=310 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3654444503&category=310 Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  13. Put a bridle extender between the attachment on the canopy and the bridle. This will allow you to not have to pull topskin fabric to the side. This seems address the biggest concern that most people have when they watch or do a "psycho" pack. I have packed many many many rigs with this type of pack and have had good results. Personally I think the the other advantage to the extender is that is makes it easier to pack when doing the roll... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  14. If it is not out of the way it would be good to have the Manufacturer inspect the rig and pack the reserve. The reserve pack is the bonus here though! Get the inspection and an "OK" from them on the container, you note it as bought used. Once you get it done once you can go to a qualified rigger that you want to do the reserve packing. When buying used gear it is always nice to get it looked at, and if you can take it to the manufacturer to do the inspection all the better, you would think that they will know best. If they find something they are concerned about they will most likelyl fix it to current manufacturering standards and your good to go. Once that is done though, repacks dont really need to be done by them. the big advantage is in teh checking out of the rig... Just my $0.02 Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  15. It seems that all of the episodes are at the web site I noted. If you have broadband you can watch the entire show without comericals.... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  16. The pics in the one gallery with the huge round are fun to look at!! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  17. http://www.reevolution.tv/main.php This is the show that had it. If you dont have broadband I would not bother. They have all the epsidoes on the site streamming. It takes a bit of digging but there are lots of jumping, skydiving, swooping. Had a really good one of the Blade Raid, Wings over Chichago, The above noted BASE episode, the Swoop meet in Cleveland. Also some items of interest were the Speed hang-gliding, the para-gliding. Lots of cool stuff though... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

    Who won?

"LAS VEGAS, Nevada (AP) -- Britney Spears filed for an annulment Monday of her two-day-old marriage to a childhood friend, saying she lacked understanding of her actions when she got hitched on the spur of the moment." It is good to know she is lacking the understanding what Marriage actually is..... That is funny, is she not the one that was going to "wait" till she was married. Again proof that celebrities are mostly stupid (my opinion) Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  19. Also sent you a PM "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  20. i would be interested if they will do it given that character is copyrighted. I would be curious if they would even do it. This has nothing to do with your drawing but more of a copyright on the character. Just curious as it bring up some interesting questions... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  21. Is there a search for Username profiles?? I thought there was but I cant find it now. Maybe there was never one, I dont know and thus reason for this post.. We can all pull up a profile from a post but can we do a deliberate search the profiles of the users for things like location or name or some other of the fields???? Thanks, Scottt . "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  22. Simple solution would have been to TAKE THE PANTS OFF!! Just think how much easier that would have made it..... Probably would have also made a few people happy, but that is for a different thread Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  23. Hey, Just a thought. Good luck! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  24. This might be a good situation for a velcro tab to collapse the slider instead of the kill-line. I have never really liked the velcro for sport rigs but it could easily be worked into my Tandem post jump routine... Might solve your noted concern.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  25. You probably would be OK, dont those words just ring with confidence!!! DEMO FIRST no matter what you decide to do. By demoing you might go a different direction then you thought, that is why the demos are out there.. Also if an eliptical canopy is where you feel you need to go, be sure to try the same sized eliptical. You will be suprised at the difference between the two designs at the same size. I am not a big proponent of someone with not a huge amount of jumps going eliptical. As such I would suggest a Sabre2 in the 150 or 135 size first. (other canopys fall into the Tapered class as well). The Sabre2 will surf nicely and still gives you a less twitchy canopy from which to increase you skills. At the same time it steps up from the Sabre you note as your current canopy.... I dont know how you jump or fly a canopy so you will have to take what you see here with a more global view and trust the people that you know. Still a Tapered canopy may be the best step at this point for you..... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
