Good God I wish I could remmember some of the things at Skydiving camp I often recall the "beer light" going on and then the sun comming up and giving me a headache. this seems to have happened again and again. Tell the seller the story and find out the cost of the patch. Dont have the patch done unless your going to buy that canopy The links or slinks are, IMHO, not a main canopies "responsibility" When you buy a new canopy it does not always come on links. If he had said it would then it is a valid reduction in cost. Let the seller know your not happy with the response time and the canopy was not as described and tell him the price your willing to pay. If he goes for it move on and be happy. If not you dont want to have done a patchthat your going to have to likely eat the cost for. He will probably take a reduction in cost given the story but if not there is no reason to have the work done for him. Depending on the existing temp patch the location of the hole and its size, you should be able to jump it as is to see if you even want tthe canopy.. Scott C. I was amazed at the sheer number of book that fit into this genera, on both sides. It is a fun topic to read as it has a footing in what a lot of people believe, again both sides. As a result you get a little fire or passion from the reader and a phenomenon. Hell it is better then the romance crap or other just flat out silly books people imerse their grey mater into... I loved the Divinci Code for its blend of Fiction/non-fiction. Just a good read! If you liked it and that style of book then the first Dan Brown book Demons and Angles is a good read as well. Less Fact based and more adventure/suspense with Robert Langdon as the main charachter. It is a completely different story line but also challenges the church. Not in a "cover up" way from the church (i.e. divinci code) but more in an adversarial way with the "Illuminati" Also a good read! Daughter of God was a good book as well. If you really want to get into it, there are lots of "Counter Point" book for the Divinci Code and other like it. I have one called Divinci Code Fact or Fiction. It is only 65 or so pages and trys to counter the preceived truths from a Church believer standpoint. It is a quick read and brings up some arguments against "Code" but honestly its kinda silly if you ask me. The book its countering an intrperation of historical truths blended into a story. The Divinci Code is Fiction but people are screaming it is fact. There are a good number of these "Fact or Fiction" type of books on Amazon as well. Additionally there are a lot of books with a similar theam to Divinci Code out there. It is not a new thought or challenge. End result, I dont have a problem with the Church and I dont have a problem with Science or additional historical information. I actually get a kick about the level of fever that hard core Church go'ers have towards any semi-historical book, specifically "The Divinci Code" A good friends wife is a devout Catholic and is steaming mad about the book, just silly in my eyes. Tough call, well not really since the wedding should not be a every year thing like a boogie. Who knows, maybe your Bro will decide the next weekend is best! It would be fun to go for the first half and leave before the BIG weekend but then you wont get the full effect. Go to the weeding have a great time and go to another boogie! Here is one thats in line style-wise with lots o the T-mans posts, just plain silly... There once was a baby elephant and a baby turtle drinking from a river deep in the jungle. For no reason, the turtle reaches over and bites the elephant's tail, really hard. I have to say it was a bumer today since I hd to have my dog "Ben" put down. He was an awesome dog and was with me since 1987/88 from the pound when he was about a year old or so. It was time but that does not mean that it was not hard. Vet came out to the house and we gave him a something to put him in a sleepy state. Took about 30 min to take full efect. Petted him the whole time and he was relaxed and happy. After he was ready the vet did it while I was holding him nd pettinghim. Very sad but I know it was time, he was not the dog he was before and right or wrong I thought it ws the right thing to do. I have had a few times when I was letting the student/passenger help and they cause a problem buy stopping the flare short or flaring too hard and fast. Now I simply skip the problem and land by myself on ALL 1st tandems. I let them fly the canopy (i.e. let them work on their arms) up high and at about 1000' I tell them to let go and wave and yell at their friends on the ground... If it is a progression student then I will work with them on flaring but for a 1st jump tandem I try and take as many variables out of the equation as possible.
