Did you get it fro a guy in WA or are you out in Washington now?? I fuigure it was bought from a guy out here as the tabs are out.. Anyway nice looking bike! I decided to not go with a harley and went for a smoking deal from a buddy on a older Shadow, which I hav been loving. Just wish I could ride it more often.. Dont have enough room for 2 rigs and jumpsuits and camera gear and all the other crap I drag with me out to the DZ.... Oh well, again nice looking ride Scott C. Shit, that is a classic.. My first rig was a Security set up. Security container, Unit main and round reserve (got caught up in the acid mesh crap) All I can say is come to the light of modren equiptment! My container (cant remember the exact model) was the one that had the PC tucked in between my back and the contaner. Pouch on the back pad. Had a lead from the top of the PC that had a tuck tab that attched to the MLW. Kinda had to pull this way then pull that way to get the PC out. Let a guy borrow it once and he promptly had a reserve ride, go figure it worked for me... I have to say the Javelin I bought after that rig was like going to a BMW from a pinto Scott C. I had the Rx in mine last weekend for the first time. and I liked it. My perscription is not that bad but it helps sharpen things up. I did have to adjust on landing a bit as my dpeth preception was different but not a big deal. When I had them made teh said with the "angle" that it might take a short time to get use to them and could give a skewed look on the edges, which I did not notice. They were saying this as a standard set of glasses basically is flat or parallel to the eyes but these are at a slight angle to the eyes to keep them under the glasses. I dont know if a harsher script would be worse but it is not an issue with mine.. I dont use the arm's and just use the strap. To be sure on the little tab I place a small patch of gaffers tape over it to keep it from turning... I dont even see it. The foam was a little concern for me as well but it held up nicely over the 15 or so jumps I put on them and I will have to see about the long term. 15 is not a huge sample set but its a start. Overall I like them and it does give me a little bit of sharpness that I have not had. Hell I have been jumping for years with out wearing them and I was sceptical as to the effect they would have but my first impression is very good.... Scott C. You play in the hyperfocal range where you get it focused and have about 1/2 distance before and infinate distance behind in focus. Lots of charts and information out there on this topic... If you like math you can do it by hand (all stolen from outsite.com section on hyperfocal stuff) Hyperfocal Distance Setting focus at the Hyperfocal Distance gives maximum depth of field from H/2 to infinity. I just ordered a Sigma 15mm f/2.8 EX Diagonal Fish-Eye for Canon AF I was looking around and checking resellerrating.com and was going to just order it from B&H for $469 but ran across "Sigma 4 Less" http://www.resellerratings.com/seller9336.html They were offering it for $385 plus shipping. They have a rating at 9.62.. Not a huge number of reviews but still no bad marks.. Giving them a try and should have the lens before the weekend.. I picked up a pair from them on the listing in the classfieds a few weeks ago. They are nice goggles and I am waiting to get the Rx in them next week.. OK, I got a E-mail from a friend and it brought up the question on the Canon 350D... I was under the impression that the Conceptous switches (w/stero plugs) worked great on the 300D and more specifically the 350D. I dont think it will work on the 10D or 20D but I could be wrong. Well, I broke down and am entering the Digial Stills world. I ordered a spanky new Rebel XT with the 15-55mm Lens and it should be here early next week. Got it for just under $850 delivered. Pretty good price from what I can tell I will shoot that lens for a bit then look to go to the wider one, dont have the extra cash right now, oh well... Should be up and shooting by next weekend.. Now I just need to get a flash to mount then I wont have any excuses... Seller was online at Buydig.com I looked and found better deals but www.resellerratings.com panned them so I just stepped back.. I figured that this place would get smacked but I looked and found a rating for the last 6 months of 8.8.. http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2065.html Also found some good reviews at BizRate as well.. Yeah, I was poking around some ore and found a reputable dealer on line (reviewed at www.resellerratings.com with a 8.84 of 10) and a New Rebel XT with lens and all else that comes in the standard box (minus the card) for $833 delivered (slow shipping) and I can upgrade shipping to O/N for $29.... Go to Costco and get a SanDisk Ultra II 1GB for $75 or a 512 for $49.. that is now looking more realistic..... Under $900 delivered for the better cam and card.... Still I take it people using the XT are running in jpg/fine on single shot mode?? If so,using conceptious toung switch are you picking shots and shooting as you go or just holding it down? OK, I am looking at getting into Digital from 35mm and can pick up the 300D which some of you are jumping at a good deal. Yeah I know the 350 is higher res but also ~$300 more. If your jumping the300D what mode are you in single shot or continuous?? I am not worried about Av or Tv I will probably think about that like I did on my Rebel 35mm but if you have a good set up on it that would be great to mention but I have seen suggestions in searches so that is not here or there. Do you do anything on the auto balance? Continuous gives the 4 shot burst the about 3 sec later get another 4 shot burst and then I think it was about 6-7sec after that for another 4 shot and each one thereafter... From what I can see from reading specs and reviews.. I have not been able to easily find the shot rate on a single shot mode... Does it give a shot a second at RAW? Maybe slightly faster? I am not sure... If your jumping it how are you setting it up, single shot or on Continuous, I am guessing single shot… Also running Raw or JPG/Fine and what is the # of shots your getting... Also I hear a lot abot the stock lens that it is OK but the 15mm is better? Any way I am curious about the shooting rate from those experienced with the camera.. Thanks Scott C.
